Authors notes, authors notes are interesting, but adding too many can get tiring fast. So word of advice from this advice filled book, don't add too many.
I have unfortunately seen books where there is an authors note every other 2 pages! ( Or every single page. ) It just makes the book seem less enjoyable if it isn't very important. Try making them short and brief instead of a paragraph long. Which reminds me, if you are writing a story PLEASE check your grammar and spelling! Otherwise, it makes you and the story sound less professional.
