When writing a story adding OC's is quite obnoxious. It's not very fulfilling when you're reading an x reader and some girl with purple hair and silver eyes has suddenly appeared with major OP status. And even if they're dating the main characters best friend, it gets a little annoying.
It's ok if you add them! But at least make it subtle when doing so.
