In Between

18 11 1

Not removed from society,

But not a part of it either.

Just a lost soul,

Somewhere in the middle,

Trying to find where they belong.

Nobody bothers to know them.

Nobody seems to care.

They just seem boring,

Nothing interesting in their air.

Not trying to look deeper,

See how broken they are within.

Never fully understanding,

The pain they are in.

Everything in their life is a mess,

But no one notices,

They think it's just everyday struggles,

That they are dealing with.

Society doesn't care,

Unless you're pretty or dead.

Wouldn't miss you if you disappeared,

Though it suddenly means the world,

When you have a bullet through your head.

Not a part of society,

Not an outcast either.

Finding where you belong,

Trying to get along.

Is impossible when you are neither.
