A.N.
Hey I'm so sorry this took so long to update. I was out of town for a wedding/vacation, so I didn't have much time to work on this. I hope you enjoy!

"We should go on a date." Makoto suggested after they had eaten breakfast.

Haru looked up from the dishes he was currently doing to glance at his boyfriend. "Okay. What kind of date?"

Makoto had a plan. It might not be a good one, but he does have a plan! "Well, I mean, it would be our first date so we should do something a little cheesy and romantic."

"Okay, I guess I can understand why someone would want a romantic first date," Haru started. "But I guess I don't understand why you would want one. I mean we're already close enough to be married, we live with each other for gods sake." Haru chuckled a little.

"Because I've always daydreamed about having a first date that was romantic like we see in the movies." Makoto admitted.

Haru turned to face Makoto. "Okay. We can live out your little daydream."

Makoto let a huge smile spread across his face. He jumped over to Haru like a hyperactive puppy and engulfed him in a hug. "Thank you thank you thank yoooouuu!!!" Makoto laughed as he peppered little kisses all over Haru's face.

Makoto spent the next few minutes... or maybe an hour, telling Haru exactly what he wanted their first date to be like. He said so much Haru had to make a list.

                  Makoto's dream first date:
- has to be romantic
- has to be dressed nicely
- has to be taken somewhere fancy
- his date can't see him until the date
- preferably include a dinner
- has to pick him up for date
- his date has to be a gentleman and display       fine manners
- has to be perfect

Haru read over the list before he got in the bath. 'Has to be dressed nicely and a gentleman' Haru thought in his head. "This ought to be fun."
Once he was submerged in the warm tub water he dunked his head under the water. He came back up above the surface with a breath of air. He grabbed his shampoo and conditioner and lathered it into his locks. After rinsing he soaked in the tub for another hour.

Makoto had already gotten ready and was currently locking himself in his room, to make sure he didn't see Haru before the date. He was wearing a white dress shirt that was fixed into black dress pants. He also wore a textured black vest over his shirt. He checked how he looked in the mirror multiple times, trying to fix his hair. Eventually he gave up with his hair and went on his phone. He got a message from Haru saying that he would pick him up in a half hour. Makoto quickly typed back a reply and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth.

The doorbell rang and Makoto excitedly skipped down the stairs. He opened the door to see Haru. But he looked different. He looked nervous.

Haru stood on the front porch wearing a black dress shirt, tucked into black pants. He wore a white bow tie around his neck. He shifted nervously under Makoto's love struck gaze. His hands twisted together behind his back as he waited for Makoto to say something.

"Haru." Makoto said almost breathlessly. "Wow, you look... wow."
Haru did a small half smile as he tried to hide his blush. "You look amazing." Haru said shyly.
Makoto smiled at this side of Haru.
"Sh-shall we go?" Haru stuttered. Makoto smiled and nodded before linking arms with Haru and making their way to the restaurant.
