Haru and Makoto lay next to each other in bed.
"Makoto." Haru murmured. He hummed in response. "What you asked earlier, about why I haven't touched you." Haru took a deep breath. "I want to. But, I don't know if I'm ready. I mean, I really want to. Like really bad."
Makoto laughed at Haru's awkwardness. "It's okay. If I'm being honest, I would probably be too nervous."Haru let out a joyful exhale of breath. He thought about how nervous Makoto got sometimes.
He remembered when they were little kids. Makoto would always be too afraid to do the monkey bars. He was afraid that he was gonna fall. He said that the ground was too far down. His imagination must've been extraordinary.
He would never do the monkey bars without Haru holding his legs and reassuring him that if he fell he would catch him.
Makoto had his hands on the bars. He swung back-and-forth to afraid to go any further.
"Haru-Chan!" He would yell. Looking down to where Haru was sitting in the wood chips. I'm scared, you have to help me.""Maybe I would help you if you didn't call me Haru Chan."
Makoto groaned in annoyance. "I'm sorry, please, help me out here."
Haru eventually gave in. He got up and walked over to where Makoto's legs are dangling. "It's okay, just keep going. I've got you."
"I can't, I'm gonna fall!"
"Hey you aren't going to fall. I won't let you. And if you do, I'll catch you."
Makoto's arms were now shaking feeling fatigued. He couldn't hold on any longer. He felt his his hand slips from the bars.
Haro was able to grab Makoto's waste in time before they hit the ground. " I told you I would catch you."
"Thank you." Makoto said gratefully.
"What are you grinning about?" Makoto said, breaking Haru away from his thoughts.
"I was remembering when you used to be too afraid to do the monkey bars."
Makoto chuckled. "Yeah it's kind of silly now that I think about it."
"Why? Because you're tall enough to touch the ground now?" Haru teased.
"Yeah yeah whatever." Makoto let out an airy laugh before turning onto his side so he can look at Haru.
"Do you think that we would be good at raising a kid?" Makoto asked.
"Well... that came out of nowhere." Haru panicked. "Why are you asking?"
"I was just thinking about the future."
"I mean, you already practically raised Ren and Ran. I'm sure would be a great parent." Haru said honestly. "I'm not too sure about me though."
"What do you mean?!" Makoto suddenly raised his volume. "You're great with kids. Ren and Ran adore you." Makoto reassured.
"I guess I'm just worried. I mean, I never really had parents most of my life so how would I know how to parent?" Haru admitted quietly.
"Haru." Makoto started. He moved so that he was brushing Haru's hair away from his face. "Just because you didn't grow up with parents, doesn't mean that you would be a bad parent. If anything, I think it would make you a better one." Makoto soothed.
"Thanks." Haru sighed. "You'd help me right?, I mean, if I start being a bad parent, you would help me, right?"
Makoto moved closer to his boyfriend and placed a kiss on top of his forehead. "Of course. I mean, just think of this as repaying a debt. You helped me get across the monkey bars."
