After his mom's death, Seokjin lost all his childhood friends at once and whenever he found someone new, he's almost a hundred percent sure that they won't last for a month or two. Why? You say. He didn't know and he would rather not know.
An example of it was Namjoon, his new neighborhood friend at age of eleven. Namjoon played with him a lot even though little Seokjin won't talk as much to engage a proper conversation. The small one liked his Namjoon hyung a lot, but one day his parents said that Namjoon would rather stay in his grandparents' house at Seoul.
Seokjin was flooded with tears that day. He was filled with self blame, thinking that it was because he was not fun enough to be a lifetime playmate. Back then, his father's big warm embrace was still present and Seokjin, despite being sad loved it more than playing.
So Seokjin started to socialize more. The little one's circle of friends were girls and he was engaged with sports such as volleyball, table tennis, and badminton. Boys love him, telling him he was the prettiest among girls but rather not in a teasing way. They were sincere.
So as soon as his friends find out, the girls he once called 'friends' were swayed by envy, calling him names he didn't knew the meaning of such as slut and whore. He was outcasted. Seokjin transferred out when their 'games' got severe, this time in an all boys' school but in Seokjin's despair, everyone saw Seokjin only as an eye candy, someone they cannot touch and talk to. The kids at his age and even the seniors have at least sent Seokjin a love letter at least once.
Seokjin's beauty is his strength but also his liability. He wants friends. Not lovers.
And Jungkook, Taehyung, together with Yoongi took those place. Friends; or Friends who faced tragic events after having a bite of the forbidden apple.
