It was a lovely glittery diary. Some would even suppose it was somewhat of an anomaly, to include everything about himself in a diary that should probably belong in the hands of a tiny girl wearing a pink frilly tutu and shiny pink wings, dressed as a fairy. For a guy seemingly older than thirty, and that too someone like Drew Laurel, it was definitely an anomaly. Glittery pink sequined notebooks weren't something that suited him. Didn't add up to the Drew equation. But there it was, in his hands, waiting to be taken by me.

Previously open-mouthed as I'd gazed at the dirty pink notebook, I quickly closed my mouth, hand covering my cherry lips, as I gazed at him.

"You still want me to... go through it? Not scared about giving away too much about yourself, hm?"

He leaned back on his chair, index finger resting on his lower lip, eyes trained on my own.

"Just take it, give it a read. I'm sure if I would have been doubting myself, we wouldn't be here. And remember, Saturday, the 7th, here."

I put the diary in my handbag quietly, handling it like precious cargo. Which it was. Precious, dear thing... But could it really make or break everything? Wasn't it too late?
