Ginny
"A year and a half, Ginny," fumed Harry, "a year and a half! And you're making no effort whatsoever to even attempt to break the deal!"
The words were driven through Ginny like scalding knives, "if I break this deal and you die, it'll all have been for nothing!"
Harry's green eyes flashed dangerously, deterring Ginny for a split second. "I never asked you to do this for me! I never wanted you to do this for me!"
Rage started talking, Ginny could not control herself; all her thoughts, feelings and emotions came pouring out. "You know what? You're a hypocrite. You would have done it for me, yet I can't do it for you! You always play the hero, you always give up your life for others! So don't you dare tell me that I can't."
Harry stopped short and looked at her, the betrayal in his eyes hurting Ginny's heart. "So, that's how you see me? The man who loves to play the hero?" His hollow tone hurt Ginny more than any shouting.
"Harry, don't be mad," whispered Ginny, knowing that she had crossed some invisible line.
"I'm not mad," Harry mumbled, "it's just..." He trailed off, looking abashed.
"Just what?"
Harry pushed a hand through his dark hair, "I wish you would stop acting like you're fine and be my Ginny again," and he blushed beet-red.
Ginny swallowed, that had stung. She pinched the bridge of her nose and looked down at her feet. Then, unable to take the suffocating silence any longer, she walked from the room, letting the door bang shut behind her.
Up the stairs went Ginny, not listening to Harry calling of her. She shut the bedroom door and locked it, then she threw the mug that sat on the bedside cabinet against the wall in anger. She watched with a sick satisfaction as it shattered into a thousand tiny pieces, relishing the power it filled her with. Muttering angrily about the situation to absolutely no one, Ginny sank onto the bed and placed her head in her hands, waiting for Harry to apologise. After all, it wasn't her fault. Was it?

Harry stood over her, but Ginny was unable to get up. He strode smugly around the bed, never taking his spiteful gaze from her eyes.
"You think you're so noble, don't you?" He purred, "so brave, sacrificing yourself to save me." Harry gave a bitter laugh, a laugh that made the hairs on Ginny's neck sand up. "But you're not brave, leaving us doesn't make you brave, know what it makes you?"Ginny felt the tears filling her eyes up as she struggled against the invisible bonds, "don't...don't say it..." She whispered.
Harry lent in so close that Ginny could hear his heartbeat, "it makes you a monster."
Ginny shook her head as the tears began to fall, "no, you don't mean that.""A monster," repeated Harry, the word seemed to bounce off the walls.
"No..."
"A monster."
"No!"
"A MONSTER!"
"NO! No! I'm not!" Ginny began sobbing uncontrollably, "I'm not, I'm not a monster!" She pounded the bed with her fist, squeezing her eyes shut and willing Harry to go away. But the word was still echoing off the walls, he was still whispering it. However, someone else was calling from afar; "GINNY! GINNY! OPEN THE DOOR!"
And, when she opened her eyes, Harry was gone. She was able to get up off the bed and unlock the door; Harry came running in, he pulled her into his arms and they stayed like that for a while.Harry
Hermione and Ron listened intently to his tale when Ginny was visiting Luna. Hermione's frown became deeper and more pensive as he told his story. Ron, however, when he had finished the tale, said "it's awful and all, mate, but why did you wait for her to unlock the door? Couldn't you have used magic?"
Feeling extremely stupid, Harry mumbled "yeah, I suppose I could have."
Ron just shook his head despairingly, and Hermione frowned at the wall, pondering the story presumably."It's strange, isn't it?" Hermione said eventually, "that's as soon as Ginny becomes connected to Voldemort she begins to have these visions?"
Now Harry thought about it, he realised it was strange. "I...yeah..." He replied, "I suppose it is...I never really thought about it until now."
Hermione's eyes acquired that bright, thoughtful look that she got whenever she was formulating a possible solution. "Perhaps it's something to do with him. Remember when you had those visions of Sirius in our fifth year?"
Harry nodded, swallowing the lump that had formed in his throat, because he did remember that it was his very vision that led to Sirius's death.
"Well," Hermione ploughed on, obviously aware of the mistake she had just made. "Perhaps it's the same with Ginny; he's using her worst fears to unhinge her. Fear and stimulus.""Fear and stimulus," repeated Harry, mumbling. Inside, he felt like poison; he was the reason Ginny was scared. She was scared of him. He wanted to rip his own heart out, and for a moment he felt the sick urge to actually do so. To pull his heart from his body so that he did not have to feel. But he couldn't stop fighting now, he had to stop this. He had no choice.
Sooo, hey...what's up? Anything interesting...?
