After me and D'Angelo...you know, we finally make our way back to my house.
Imani is there and she looks at the both of us up and down.
"Well well well, look at what we have here!" Imani walks in a circle around us.
"Where have you two been, Trinity got off work hours ago!" Imani exclaims.
"Um, we stopped at- at the um-" I studder.
"-we stopped at my house to grab me some clothes!" D'Angelo inturupprts.
"What took you so long?" Imani asked.
"Sheesh, why all the questions?" I asked.
"I called you both like fifty times!"
"My phones dead!" I say.
"My phones dead too!" D'Angelo says.
His phone rings in his pocket and Imani crosses her arms looking him up and down, a long 'hm' escaping her mouth.
D'Angelo chuckles before walking outside to answer his call.
"So, what were you really doing?"
I walk past Imani with a smirk on my face.
"Trinity!" Imani pouts.
"We just- mind your business!" I smile at her.
My phone buzzes and I see a text from Renae.
Naenae hey, how're you feeling?
Im good. Hbu?
Naenae how do you feel about going out for a couple of drinks tonight, you can bring D'Angelo if you want.
Naenae I'll invite Larry if you bring Dlo.
Um, I'll see. Can I bring my sister too?
Naenae of course, the more the merrier!
"You wanna go out for a few drinks with Renae, D'Angelo, and Larry?" I asked Imani.
"I guess, but only if Jordan agrees to come, I don't wanna be a fifth wheel!" Imani gets out her phone and she calls Jordan.
"Hey...you wanna hang out tonight?" Imani says into the phone.
She walks to her room.
I go outside and D'Angelo finishes up his call.
"Sorry, that was my mom checking up on me." D'Angelo says.
"You're good!" I say.
D'Angelo looks at me and I smile at him.
"Do you wanna go out with me and a friend to get a couple of drinks tonight?" I asked D'Angelo.
"Am I invited?"
"No, I'm just sitting here giving you an invite- yes, you're invited!"
D'Angelo looks at me and he smiles. "Yeah, I'll come!"
Yeah sure, D'Angelo and my sister will be joinin us as well.
