Months, I am officially moved into Brandon's house.

Everything has been going great.

The rumors have been put to rest with D'Angelo getting traded.

He is officially a Brooklyn Nets player.

I believe he leaves to Brooklyn this week.

_____

A few days later, me and Brandon go out to get some items for around the house.

Brandon went to go get popcorn from the food court while I shop.

As I walk through the aisles, I bump into someone.

"I'm sorry," I say helping the person pick their items up.

I see a box of Cheez-Its and a box of Cap'n Crunch.

D'Angelo loves this stuff, I think to myself.

I hand the person their items and I look up at them.

"D'Angelo!" I say shocked.

We haven't spoken in person since he cheated.

"Hey, Trinity."

My heartbeat begins to increase when he says my name.

Awkward silence is what follows.

"I know you saw the trade confirmation,"

I nod my head smiling at D'Angelo.

"Good luck in Brooklyn!" I respond.

"Thanks," he replies.

He clears his throat.

"You promise me you'll remember me when I'm gone?"

I laugh a little bit. "How could I forget you D'Angelo?"

You made me break all of my rules, I think to myself.

You also cheated on me and broke my heart.

Brandon walks back over to me with a bag of popcorn.

"I got a medium!" Brandon says looking at D'Angelo.

The awkwardness in this conversation is not okay.

"Well, we've gotta- keep on shopping, it was nice seeing you!" I say.

"Nice seeing you too, Trinity." I feel D'Angelo's eyes linger on me for a moment before I turn and walk away with Brandon.

Don't look back... Don't look back...that shows that you still care, Trin.

I swallow before turning around to see D'Angelo one last time.

I stare at him and I stop walking.

I want to turn and run into his arms.

I want to tell him I want him back.

Don't get me wrong, Brandon is an amazing person, but I just think he was a rebound from D'Angelo.

D'Angelo Dante Russell is the one that I want.

Seeing him here today made me realize that everyone deserves a second chance...even him.

Brandon places a hand on my shoulder.

"Go get your man." Brandon says.

I look at him shocked.

"What?" I asked.

"Trinity, I understand. I know how you look at him, you don't look at me the same." Brandon starts. "What we had was fun while it lasted."

I pull Brandon into a hug.

"Will you be okay?"

He nods his head yes.

"Now, hurry up before he walks out of your life forever." Brandon pushes me forward.

I run towards D'Angelo in slow motion just to mess with Brandon.

He laughs and I do the same.

"Go!" Brandon exclaims.

I actually run this time dodging people in the store.

Once I catch up to D'Angelo, he looks me up and down.

He gives me a second to catch my breathe before I begin to speak.

"D, do I still- do we still have a chance to fix things between u-"

I don't finish my sentence.

I get inturupted with D'Angelo's lips on mine.

I kiss him back and we share a long long kiss together.

"I'm sorry for what I did Trinity, I swear I won't ever do it again!"

I nod my head before kissing him again.

"Yes D'Annity is back together!" I hear someone say.

D'Angelo and I pull away from the kiss and I see a worker smiling from ear to ear.

"I knew you'd get back together!" The worker cheers happily.

I wonder what's in store for the two of us next.

Thank you for taking the time to read this story.

There may or may not be a sequel to this story.

I will be working on another book about Lonzo Ball and another book about @Jadendrosa on Instagram.

That's him!
