There were no goals until the 58th minute when Greizmann scored a penalty which was canceled out by an Australian penalty in the 62nd minute. Although many were hoping for an eventual 1-1 draw, Olivier Giroud coming on as a sub changed the game. He assisted the winner in the 80th minute through Pogba.
Despite the victory, I think Les Bleus can only improve. I was somewhat disappointed with their performance.

Many football fans think that this was a great match which deserved a draw, but I disagree. Morocco deserved to win yesterday against Iran, but at the end of the day, it's football and a side must win even if they didn't play well.

Argentina v Iceland 1-1
I told my father not to underestimate Iceland for they were going to make things hard for Argentina. So said, so done. Kun put Argentina ahead in the 19th minute but it was canceled out in the 23rd minute by Finnbogason. Messi had an opportunity to put Argentina ahead and probably win the game, but he just had to miss the penalty! However, there is still hope for them to move on to the next round.
Argentina needs to pull their stuff together because they're still depending on one man and it isn't looking good from this end. This is not a repeat of 2014 when Leo put the team on his back and carried them to the final only to lose to Germany. That was painful.
And no matter what happens, victory or defeat, Leo will always be my man.
