The local hosts here ridiculed the Russians and bigged up Spain and I'm sitting here going, "Do not underestimate the underdogs." Their faces after the penalty shootout were worth it because these so-call 'experts' are beyond ridiculous! Many of the fans here have been complaining about them as well. They're biased and they need to check themselves before the matches so thank you, Russia for shutting them up.
The Russians confidently put away their penalties and they have Igor Akinfeev to thank for he kept them in the game and saved 2 penalties. Or was it one? I can't recall because I was too busy cheering them on. Igor was my MOTM.
