Chapter 18

Aaliyah POV
I was getting ready for the date that me and Dave have. Kairi was at his mama house.
"Tink you still not ready?" Dave asked
"I'm almost ready Pooh" I said
"Well hurry up we're going to be late to our reservation. Ten minutes later I was done getting ready

"Damn mamas you look good ASF" Dave said biting his lip
"Thank ya! You don't look too bad yourself" I said looking him up and down

Dave POV
Me and Liyah was outside of the restaurant when I asked her to take my picture.

I was genuinely happy now that I have my daughter and Liyah in my life. I was happy before but it felt like they filled a space in my heart.
"Come on let's go inside mamas" I said grabbing Liyah's hand.
We walked in and there was a girl standing at the front.
"How many?" She said mainly looking at me
"2" Liyah said with an attitude
I couldn't help but look at her and smile.
"Right this way" the girl said still looking at me
When we were seated we started looking over the menus and I didn't know what I wanted.
"You know what you gone get mamas?" I asked Liyah
"I think I want this shrimp steak and loaded baked potato" she said
"That sounds good. I can't eat that tho" I said
"Why not?" She asked
"Because I'm Muslim" I said
"Well if it's a problem I won't get it" She said
"No you can eat it, I just can't" I said
"Oh okay" she said
I was finna say some else but that girl came back to take our orders.
"I'll start with drinks. What would you like sir?" She said biting her lips at me
"What you want baby?" I said to Liyah calling her baby on purpose
"I'd like sprite" she said
"We don't have sprite!" The girl said with an attitude
"Well Ill take Lemonade then" Liyah said
"I'll take that too" I said
"What would you like to eat!" She said
"I'll take the shrimp , steak and loaded bake potato and my steak well done" Liyah said
"I'll take the shrimp , Mac and cheese with baked fish" I said
"Will that be all?" She asked
"Yeah" I said with my eyes on Liyah
I just took in he Beauty while she looked at her phone.
"I texted ya mama to check on Kairi and she damn near cussed me out, saying how not to worry about her and to enjoy my night" Liyah said laughing
For the rest of the night me and Liyah laughed and talked. I hate I did her like that, but I'm glad I got my baby girl and I'm glad Liyah letting me be in her life.
"Liyah what you think about you and Kairi moving in with me?" I asked
"I think that's a bit much" she said
"I think it would be best for Kairi to have her mommy and daddy in the same house, so she won't grow up wondering why her mommy and daddy live in separate houses and why she spend some weeks with me and some with you!" I said
"I'll think about it Dave" She said
After that we decided it was time to go get Kairi from my mama house. On the way there Liyah fell asleep. We arrived and I didn't want to wake her so I left her in the car and ran in to get kairi. I knocked on the door and my pops answered the door.
"Wassup pops I came to get Kai" I said
"Hey son, come in" my dad said
I walked in and seen my mama with a sleeping Kairi. They gone have my baby spoiled.
"Hey ma I came to get her" I said
"Boy get out of here you not taking my granddaughter out this late. You can come get her tomorrow. Where's Liyah?" She said
"Okay okay ma. She's in the car sleep" I said
"Well you get her home. I'll see you tomorrow" she said
"Alright ma love y'all" I said kissing Kai's cheek
"Love you too" She said
I got back in the car and drove towards my house since it was closer. Once I got there I got out to unlock the door and put my stuff down. I went back out to get Liyah and she was still knocked out. I picked her and took her to my room. I laid her in the bed and I went to take a 15 minute shower. Once I got out and got dress I slid in beside Liyah and pulled her into my chest. I kissed her forehead and whispered "goodnight mamas" before falling asleep.
