Blood...blood gushing out of his chest. The picture was permanently etched in my mind. Nothing and no one could make me forget it...I stood there, helpless, unable to move a muscle. When I saw his lifeless face, I could take it no longer! I crashed on my knees and let out a cry of grief. My father, the formidable Shrikant Malhotra whom everyone was wary of in the world of business, lay dead before me.

The next emotion to hit me was anger. She had done this. She had taken Dad away from me forever...

It had been nearly half an hour since I had seen my father's corpse and nearly twenty minutes since the police had started chasing me. I could hear the police sirens close behind me as I accelerated to a speed of 130kmph on my black Toyota Fortuner.

How dare she?! First, she has the guts to murder my father. Then, she frames me for this horrible crime that she's committed!

I was brought out of my thoughts as my phone started to buzz. The caller ID was flashing 'Cabir'.

Just who I needed at the moment.

I picked up the phone immediately.

"Manik, where the hell are you? Do you know what they are saying on the news?" Cabir nearly yelled over the phone, worriedly.

"I'm fine. I fled from the Malhotra mansion just as the police arrived. The police have been following me for the last twenty minutes. I need to lose them quickly, or else I'll never be able to prove my innocence!" I replied.

"Manik, are you sure running is the best option? It'll make you look guilty." Said Cabir.

"Cabir, she bloody had my fingerprints put on the gun. There's no way the cops will believe me! Also, she has probably bribed them . Anyway, tell me, are Alya and Mukti alright? They aren't hurt right?" I asked, my voice filled with concern.

"Manik, woh dono theek hain, par unki baat chhod! Where will you go?" He asked.

"Cabir, don't worry about me. I'll be fine. Right now I really need to lose the police! I'll call you when I've lost them! Bye!" I cut the call before he could protest any further.

The police had fallen a little behind so I took full advantage of it and swerved my car into a secluded road which I knew was a shortcut to the main highway. I drove for a few more minutes and then realized that the police cars were no longer following me.

I took a deep breath for a few seconds to calm myself down and get a grasp on my emotions, which were all over the place. After some time I started driving again and through the shortcut, I reached the Bangalore-Mumbai highway.

I had made up my mind. I wasn't going to let her win this time! She was a murderer! I was going to bring my father's killer to justice. I smirked and thought to myself, 'Nyonika Malhotra, let the game begin!'

With this last thought, I accelerated again, steadily driving along the highway towards Bangalore.
