You woke up to bright lights, and your eyes had to adjust to them before you could do anything. Once your eyes adjusted, you looked around, only to find Noah in the chair next to you.
"Seungbi, you're awake." He smiled.
"Noah?"
His smile only grew. "You were in pretty bad shape last night, but luckily I brought you here. Isn't it great that I found you?"
"Yeah, so great."
He seemed to ignore your sarcasm. "So, who did that to you? I honestly thought I was the only one that could touch you like that."
He started reaching for your thigh. "Don't touch me," you growled. "And for the record, you should've never put your hands on me."
"I know, and I'm sorry." He said, giving you puppy dog eyes. He was giving you whiplash. "I just wanted to know if you'd give me a second chance."
"Absolutely not."
"What? Why?"
"Because you're not worth my time, and that's that."
He got up and leaned over you. "If you say no, I'll kill you. Right here in this room."
His comment rattled you. You knew what he was capable of and you knew he was serious, but you kept a straight face. "Two can play that game, Noah."
He lunged for you, but little did he know that the moment he took his eyes off of you, you grabbed the scissors off the table next to your bed. He put his forearm on your neck, but you brought the scissors down into his shoulder.
"What the hell?"
His screaming got one of the nurses attention. "What happened here?!"
"It was self defense, he was trying to choke me." You told her.
The nurse looked at you with sympathetic eyes and took Noah to another room to treat his wound.
A couple days later, they let you leave the hospital since the cracking in your ribs was very minor and they couldn't do much about it, and they stitched your thigh up. As you walked through the city, you kept your head down, just in case your biological parents were looking for you. Night time had fallen over Seoul, so it wasn't completely safe, and when you heard footsteps behind you, you bolted to the nearest store, but the person following you still followed you in.
He walked up to you and smiled. "Are you Seungbi?"
"Why does it matter?"
"I have people looking for you," his expression darkened. "And if you don't come with me, they'll kill us both."
Somehow, nobody saw him pick you up and throw you over his shoulder. He walked out to the parking lot and threw you into a dark SUV. You had your phone in your pocket, so you called one-one-nine when he wasn't looking. He wasn't much of a gooney. When he pulled up to your biological parents' house, the police were already there.
"Why did you get the police?" Your father yelled.
The man looked at your father. "I didn't, sir."
You grinned and held your phone up. "I did."
You watched as your parents and kidnapper were arrested, and while they walked by you, your mother leaned in towards you. "We will escape. We will find and kill you, even if it's the last thing we do."
You shrugged. "Have fun with that."
As the place cleared out, you walked down the street, hearing the sirens fade away behind you. You started to think about where you were going to stay, and what you were going to do. Despite your seemingly calm aura, you were rattled and scared. So, you decided to visit your adoption parents. You hauled a taxi, and headed to the house you were raised in.
You had the man drop you off a couple of houses down, and when you got to the driveway, the house was trashed. Windows were broken, the door had been kicked in, the cars were in terrible condition, and the bushes in front of the house were on fire. You watched in horror as an explosion from the house sounded and the house burst into flames. You tried getting inside to help your parents, but someone pulled you away from the front door.
"Naju, I have her!" A man yelled.
You thrashed in the guys grip. "Get off of me! I need to get inside."
In another area of Seoul, Seungcheol had been trying his hardest to track you down, and when he found out that your birth parents had you, he went straight to the house. When he found that there were no cars in the driveway, and it was way too quiet, he worried that he was too late. He went inside to find files all over the living room, and he found one that had the address to your adoption home in it.
He hurried back to his car and headed to the address, only to find a disaster, and four people in the driveway.
You saw a black SUV pull into the driveway, catching everyone's attention. The man in the SUV got out, and the two of you had the same expression; confusion. He looked at your tear stained face and wondered what had happened.
"Why do I always catch you guys hurting innocent people?" He asked.
A man, who you had learned was called Naju, replied, "Seungcheol, nice to see you again."
"You're Seungcheol!" You yelled, voice loud, direct and catching everyone around you off guard.
He nodded slowly. "Yes?"
You struggled in the guys grip. "How do you know them?" You asked.
"How do you know who I am?" He questioned.
You sighed. "Answer my question."
"I grew up with them." He told you.
You looked between all three of the strangers. "Sure you did."
"Why do you guys look so alike?" One of them asked.
Seungcheol looked at you as you looked at him, then his expression softened, and he grabbed you from the stranger. "I've been looking for you!"
