Detroit Learning to Love (Kara X Male Reader)

Kara Part. 1

(F/N) browsed the vast selection of androids in the CyberLife store, the androids looked exactly like people. If not for the LED's on their heads (F/N) would have no idea they were androids. (F/N) laughed at this thought, he walked over and looked at an RT600, he looked at the models specializations. A store employee noticed, the employee smiled and walked over to (F/N), "Are you interested?" (F/N) turned to look at the man who was speaking, he pointed at the android "maybe, can you tell me about her?" (F/N) looked back at the android, the employee smiled:

"Ah model RT600, the first model to ever be introduced to the public, she's one of our most popular models, she's designed to socialize more than anything, but she can perform other tasks." (F/N) frowned and shook his head, "I'm looking for something more advanced, maybe to help me around the house as well," the employee nodded and gestured for (F/N) to follow. (F/N) followed as told, the employee walked over to a terminal and tapped it a few times. (F/N) looked at the display, their was a variety of male and female androids, but one did catch his attention. "Here we are," the employee's smile was a bit unnerving now, he gestured with his hand, the android that had caught (F/N)'s eye, turned her head and smiled at him. The android was by far the most beautiful android in the store, she had a kind face, trusting blue eyes, and her flawless brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail. If she wasn't an android and she was out on the street, (F/N) would probably have asked her out.

(F/N) tilted his head, "Tell me about her," he said, not breaking his gaze from her. The employee could tell he had (F/N) hooked, "Model AX400, designed to work as a house servant, although it is quite capable of socializing, as well as doing other menial tasks." (F/N) looked at the android, he smiled back at her, "Yeah, I've heard about these, a guy I know has one. I think i'll take her." (F/N) noticed the android seemed to mouth the words 'thank you' but he ignored it. The employee smiled "Excellent, would you like to give it a name?"

(F/N) looked at the android, she seemed to nod her head yes, he definitely didn't imagine it, he turned his attention back to the employee, "What sort of names are popular?" The employee thought about this, "I've heard people name them after cities, objects, famous people, the last guy I sold this to named it Kara." (F/N) looked at the android again, she smiled and nodded again, (F/N) thought that was odd but chose to ignore it. "I like that one," the employee nodded, the android turned away from (F/N) and became stone faced.

(F/N) shrugged it off the androids were probably programmed to act that way whenever they were bought. (F/N) watched the employee, "AX400, register you're name," the employee gestured for (F/N) to say the name, the android looked at him, "Kara," (F/N) said. The employee smiled, "Now there's just the small matter of payment."

(F/N) unlocked the door to his house it was a bit small but it was comfortable, he held the door open for Kara who seemed a bit surprised at his actions. (F/N) shut the door as he entered his house with Kara, "Okay...so I guess I need to..." (F/N) looked at the android, she seemed to be looking around the house, "Is everything alright, (F/N)?" Kara asked as she took notice of (F/N)'s loss of words, (F/N) hesitated at Kara's use of his name, but continued, "Yeah, it's just this is a bit weird for me, I've never owned an android." (F/N) noticed that Kara's LED had turned yellow, she didn't say anything for awhile, then her LED turned blue, "If it makes you feel any better most people have a similar reaction when they first buy androids."

(F/N) nodded his head, his confidence was slowly coming back, he started to walk to the kitchen, Kara followed him "You're right, when I went to buy an android, I didn't expect it to be as beautiful as you."

Kara's LED turned yellow, as if she was trying to process what (F/N) had just said, "Thank you," (F/N) nodded and poured himself a glass of water, and said "could you clean up a little bit?" Kara nodded and walked past (F/N), "So...Kara...tell me about yourself?" Kara began to pick plates off the table, "I was made in 2038 and am primarily designed to..." (F/N) stopped her, "No, I don't want to know about you're factory settings, I want to know about you, like...what do you like? What do you care about?" Kara looked at (F/N), her LED was yellow, she put (F/N)'s dishes in the sink, "I don't understand the question, I'm not allowed to like anything." (F/N) shook his head, he walked over to Kara, and started his sink, "You mean you don't have an opinion on anything?"
