Chapter Four.

Scarlett's P.O.V

Adelle and I, stay over at phoebes. We were planning on having a movie night, but as soon as we got in we just crashed on the floor, in the living room.

What an exhausting night.

I couldn't stop myself from thinking about the kiss Luke and I shared. Why did I even let myself do that? I fucking hate his guts.

I would love to make him feel the pain I did.

That's it.

I know exactly what I need to do.

It's simple, and easy. I just need to make him gain feelings for me.

It's been a few days since the party.

The girls and I are at the mall, shopping. It was phoebes idea. I have no fucking clue why I agreed. It's not like I have anything better to do with my free time.

I hear a phone buzzing.

It's mine.

"Hello?"

"Hey Scarlett? It's Jai"

"Oh hi Jai" I'm relieved it's not some fucked up cereal killer, or whatever.

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?"

Hang out? I guess it's better then shopping.

"Sure. I'll text you our location. Bye Jai"

"Bye Scarlett"

I text him, as promised.

Were at the mall, 2 blocks away from the park. Be here soon. We're bored.

I put my phone back in my jacket, pocket.

"Guys, er were meeting the boys"

The boys? They probably don't even know who I'm talking about. Well, that would explain their confused faces. They look so stupid, it's kind of funny.

I hold back my laughter of course.

"Oh the boys as in, Jai, Luke, Beau, James and Skip" I smiled.

"Ohhh, yay" they said together.

Freaky.

I felt my phone vibrate, inside of my pocket.

'From Jai-bear<3'

Ok ok. Were on our way.

We're sat here. At the lake. Why? I really do not know. It was Adelles idea, I have to admit though, it is kind of fun.

It's been quite a laugh hanging out with them recently. Jai, Beau, and Luke have all changed so much.

Maybe I don't hate Luke. He's okay.... But I still need payback.

....

We've been sitting here for hours. James, Beau and Skip left to go and do whatever the hell guys do.

So it's just us left. Luke, Jai, Phoebe, Adelle and I, obviously.

For some reason, we are laying here looking up at the clouds, identifying shapes out of them.

Adelle snaps me out of my thoughts when she suggests that we go for a swim in the lake. Everybody except Phoebe and I jump in.

Phoebe didn't want to ruin her new clothes, and I just I don't know. I don't know, I'm not really into it.

"Hey, Scarlett"

Somebody shouts from over at the lake.

It's Luke.

"Are you coming in, or what?" He smirks.

"Well, does it look like I am?" I snap.

He doesn't reply. I can't even see him anymore. Where in the hell has he gone?

Oh well.

I close my eyes, and just enjoy the hot sun, and summer breeze.

I hear something behind the tree. I turn around too see nobody there.

I get up just in case, and look around. Phoebe doesn't hear anything. She has earphones in, listening to 5 seconds of summer, or something like that? I don't really know.

I hear it again.

I see hair.

Luke's hair.

"Funny one Luke, you really scared the shit out of me" I playfully, shout.

When I turn back around I feel arms wrapped around me.

Luke picks me up, and puts me over his shoulder.

"LUKE PUT ME DOWN" I scream, trying to sound demanding, but I let out a little giggle.

"Nope" he laughs.

Next thing I know, I'm in the damn lake.

"LUKE" I laugh. I can't help it. "You little fuck head"

He laughs along with me.

God he's so annoying, but it's kind of cute.

SHUT UP SCARLETT. SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Payback, I have to remember payback.

I'm saved from my thoughts when I feel water splashed in my face.

That little shit head.

I splash him back, and it turns into world war 2, but with water attacks, instead of bombings.

......

I was just about to get in bed when my phone vibrated.

Luke: what're you doing tomorrow?

Me: I haven't made plans. Why?

Luke: wanna hang out? Fuck all to do.

Me: sure.

Luke: I'll call you in the morning, goodnight Scarlett.

Me: Night Luke.

I kind of felt bad for making my plan so harsh, but he deserves it. Every single bit of it.
