I slammed my locker shut as my bestfriend Maeve rambled about the senior party her brother Noah was throwing for the end of the year

"He even let me invite you so I would not tell our mom" she squealed

"Yay" I said nonchalant rolling my eyes

"I'm so glad your excited" she said annoyed

"You know parties arent my thing" I sighed as we walked down the school

"And" she said unfazed and uninterested

"And seniors a certified assholes" I said in a obvious tone

"True, but Riele how many juniors get invited to senior parties" she asked

She gave me a pleading look

"No" I said deadpanned

"Please" she sighed with her big puppy eyes

"Fine I'll go" I said giving in

"Yes" she exclaimed

"By the way, Xander and Jace are picking you up " she said finishing her sentence

"Ugh" I groaned

"Jace, as in Jace Norman" I said annoyed

"Why can't you take me, I don't like the way Jace and his groupies act, they act like a clan and its weird" I said

"I know but-" she was cut off by Jace who was now standing in front of me

Jace was one of those "bad boys" every girl and boy wanted

He and his dumb ass squad were mostly juniors but were still assholes.

Jace's squad included Sean Ryan fox, and his brother -a senior- Xander and some times Noah also a senior.

They didn't scare me like they did others.

We had history.

They remind me of pale teenage boys trying to be grunge

He was several inches taller then me but, my pride stood tall

"Your Riele right" he asked pointing at me

"Stop acting like we havent met" I said annoyed

"Yeah, yeah" he started

"I'm picking you up tonight" he finished rolling his eyes

"Yeah I know, but why" I said not
wanting to talk any more

"Because Cinderalla here," he said looking at Maeve "Is helping clean the house and preparing for the party" he said replying to my question

"I know but why cant I just take Maeve's car" I asked with my arms up

"Because I said so, also its not a safe night to drive alone, we wouldn't want anything to happen to you" he said putting his hand on my shoulder to be "assuring"

His hand was cold, like almost dead cold

"Oh so your gon' protect me" I said raising my eyebrow

"You have no idea" he smirked

" Be ready by 9 pm" he instructed

"Whatever" I said turning around grabbing Maeve's hand

She looked back as Jace moved at light speed to face me

"No later" he said deadass

"Whatever" I anwsered as he licked his lips

I squeezed Maeve's hand as Jace's stare pierced me
