there was a girl she was down and depressed
she was bottling up emotions and exuding stress
her tears where salty as they ran down her cheeks
and each day was a struggle, just trying to make it through the weekthis girl was down nearly every day
and she wanted to find the solution, she wanted to be okay
but it's been so long since she had seen the light
she wasn't even sure if she'd recognize it, if she could find her fightbut one day she stumbled across a group of three
and they told her they could help her be happy
she denied their aid, said nothing they could do would be enough
but despite her disputes and arguments, they stuck to her regardlessas the days passed by, they began to rub off
and her mind and her young soul didn't seem so lost
she smiled her first true smile in years
and began to wipe away all of her tearsher friends, she now called them, were helping her cope
and their names were revealed as: joy, peace and hope
