Chapter 22. A Penny for your Thoughts

Knock knock knock

"Sean?"

He heard a voice that sounded way too familiar

Knock knock knock

He grunted yet still didn't move from where he laid. Everything was blurry and he can't seem to open his eyes, he didn't want to leave the comfort of his bed so maybe if he close his eyes hard enough, everything will turn into a dream?

Knock knock knock

"Sean?" He heard the same voice again

He shot his eyes wide and looked at the clock

"Crap" He muttered. Realizing that he wasn't dreaming.

He quickly got out of his bed as the sheets got tangled on his legs. He ran his hand through his hair in attempt to fix it, but all he did was ruin it even more. He grabbed the cold silver handle and swung open the door

"Heyy!" He said in his normal voice, trying to hide the fact that he just woke up 7 seconds ago

"Ohh hey, uhh- did I wake you up? I'm so sorry... your mom told me I could go up and check on you. I must've came too early. I'm so sorry" She started to blabber as soon as she saw his face

It was pretty obvious that he just woke up. He was still in his pajamas and his blonde hair was all over the place. His eyes were barely awake and his expression told it all

"What? N-n-no, it's not your fault. Uhh-I should've woken up earlier and made you breakfast this morning.." Sean started to blabber as well but stopped when she heard her adorable giggle

"Why? Is there something on my face?" He asked touching and feeling his face

Kaycee let out a shy laugh as she spoke, "Uhh no no, you're just adorable in you're Spongebob pajamas.."

He looked at himself and indeed, he was wearing his Spongebob pajama bottoms with a plain white tee. He felt so embarrassed that she had to see him in these pants. He hoped that she knows that he only wore this for the sake of comfort and the whole Spongebob thing was just a bonus.

"Uhh.. well, this is awkward" He let out an exasperated sigh

"It's okay Sean, I'll let you freshen a bit" she smiled not knowing what else to say

"Right, I'll meet you downstairs in 10 minutes" He replied, scratching the back of his neck

"Sure.." She smiled sweetly before heading back downstairs

Sean closed the door and immediately scolded himself

Really? You just had to wear the spongebob pajamas the night before she's coming? Stupid.

Kaycee was in the living room, sitting alone at the humongous couch as she scrolled through her phone, waiting.

They're heading to Radix together later after lunch to assist some of the best choreographers they knew. It was a big event and they wanted to be a part of it, despite the 1 and a half hour car ride to get there.

Last night they slept at 3 am, chatting and laughing about nonsense through facetime... which is probably the reason of Sean's delay this morning

"Hey you all good?" Kaycee looked up and saw Sean standing near the door, his hair was wet and messy and he was wearing different clothes. His eyes were more awake now and his face was all lit up
