Thoughts

What if darkness came alive,

And decided it wanted to eat us,

Swallow us hole, a snake and a mouse.

Or swallow the sun, taking out our only source

Of light and joy.

Or rather, what if

Someday, we wake up to see only dark,

And find that there was never any light

In the first place?

Perhaps, it is all a dream,

And in reality, we live in a pitch-black land.

Perhaps, perhaps…

It never existed at all.
