'Suzanna pov.'
"We need everyone working together to ensure peace. Just because Marcus is rebelling against Aro does not mean he's on our side." Bella instructs the pack members around the table. We have a small dinner meeting set up, with goblets of blood for the vampires. Billy, Sue, and Old Quil have joined us and are sitting between Paul and Sam. I'm on Paul's other side wringing my hands nervously. This has to go well. Paul places a hand on top of my baby bump and I smile softly. Jane appears at the other end of the clearing with a small group of vampires following her. Sam and Jared stand to greet them as the Alpha and Beta, and Bella and I stand to greet them as the Luna and first healer.

"Thank you Jane." I murmur as I give her a brief hug. She nods and sits beside Seth.

"Welcome to our lands. I am Samuel Uley, the Alpha, and this is my Beta, Jared." Sam says as he shakes Marcus's hand.

"It's an honor to meet you, Marcus. I am Bella, Luna of the pack, and this is my sister Suzanna, we are the pack healers." Bella says as she gives a small bow. I nod my head respectfully. My eyes drift to Sue and she's staring at Marcus with wide eyes. I force down a smile. This treaty may come to fruition after all.

"Please, eat. Since vampires who are not imprints find the wolves blood unpleasant, Alec and Santiago collected blood from prisoners on death row. That's going to be an interesting news story." I say slyly as I look at the two. Alec smiles sheepishly and Santiago becomes very interested in the table cloth.

"Thank you. Gianna is a new born, but I promise she has impeccable control, and Eyre is quite old so she is immune to the effects of blood lust." Marcus says to soothe us. The new born smiles nervously as she gives a small wave. We sit and the meal begins.

"I would congratulate you, Jane, on finding your mate. It is a tremendous occasion." Marcus hums with a sad smile.

"Thank you sire. I'm...more happy than I've been in a while." She mutters as Seth grasps her hand.

"And you, Alec, how are you adjusting?" Marcus asks.

"Very well, sire. I enjoy hunting animals." Alec chuckles shyly.

"Such a proud parent, Marcus. It's embarrassing almost." Eyre hums before taking a gulp of blood.

"There's nothing wrong with being a proud parent. It's so fun embarrassing your kids." Sue laughs. Marcus smiles at her quietly.

"Please do not encourage him, Sue." Jane begs with a fake pained look.

"Alright, no ganging up on the pups. Only Bella and I are allowed to do that. With the occasional exception of Rosalie and Leah." I chuckle. Marcus and Sue are pretty much only looking at each other now.

"So how do we plan to beat someone who can see the future?" Sam asks.

"Young Alice is incapable of seeing the future of anyone near you. You are a sort of, what is the word, EMP? Yes. Then there is the fact that she can only see possible futures. One change of the mind and she is useless." Marcus explains.

"That's a relief. I'm happy she's not spying on us." Bella sighs as she looks down the table at me.

"Many of the guard followed me, including Chelsea. Some stayed with Aro simply because they didn't know what to do without him, and some fled to their original coven. Aro is a problem for a later date so far, so we may focus on Alice for the time being." Marcus explains.

"Oh, Chelsea. Is she alright? I hope she's not hurting from the lack of my powers." Corin gasps softly.

"She is well. Gianna's power is to leech harmful things from the body." Marcus explains. Paul turns his head toward her and jolts a little. He bumps me with his elbow darts his eyes toward her.

"Really? You're so spoiled!" I whisper to him.  I turn to smile at Gianna and she's gazing at us intensely. She leans toward Marcus to whisper in his ear and he laughs quietly.

"I was wondering when you would notice. Very well, run along young one." He says. She scrambles up and we stand to greet her. She speeds around to our side of the table and seems to vibrate in place.

"Come on." I tell her softly as I grab her hand. Paul takes her other one and we lead her toward our personal house. It's smaller than the pack house, but big enough to raise a baby...or more.

"Thank the ancestors." Paul murmurs as he looks upward. I roll my eyes as Gianna giggles.

"Carry me up the steps?" I ask her as we reach our house.

"What if I hurt the baby?" She hesitates as she presses her hands to her chest. Her...very nice chest.

"You won't." I smile. I don't need to be carried, really, but I'm an attention whore for my mate. Mates, now. She grabs me bridal style and flits up the stairs. Paul opens the door and she studies the room.

"Our bedroom is the loft, but don't worry, there are sliding soundproof screens up there." Paul says with an eyebrow wiggle. I smack him and Gianna sets me down.

"I feel bad leaving my sire alone." She mumbles.

"He has Eyre. And Sue." I snort as I go grab myself a snack.

"Sue?" Paul asks with a raised brow.

"Honestly men are so blind. They're mates." I scoff as I try to reach for the cheezits. Gianna grabs the box and hands it to me.

"Pretty and useful." I tease.

"Ohhh." Paul says. Idiot.

"You're lucky you're cute babe." I sigh as I walk to the stairs. I look at them expectantly and they stare at me blankly. I roll my eyes and start climbing the stairs.

"Oh, I'll take you up!" Gianna shouts. She and Paul both dart forward at the same time and smack into eachother. I laugh and almost drop my cheezits.

"Okay, idea. You carry her, I carry you." Paul grunts. Gianna laughs and picks him up instead.

"Let's go christen the bed." She suggests. Thank you ancestors.
