(Y/N)'s POV

"Neeeeeeks! I'm boooreedd." I trilled, trying to get his attention. My older brother, Nico, was bent over a table, a notebook and many Mytho-magic cards scattered around. He was devising a "super-super-ultra top secret" plan for the game.

"Go get (B/F/N) to play with you." He commented.

"Nico, I don't play with my friends. That make me sound like I'm two!" I pouted. "Can you take me... to the movies?"

"No, I'm busy! Just go by yourself." I knew he was distracted. He wouldn't let me, an 11 year old girl, walk the half mile to the movie theater by myself.

"Nico!" I pushed myself off the couch and over to him. "You're 7 years older  than me. Which make me 11. Do you really want to send me alone to the movies?"

"Huh?" He looked up at me. "Did you say my name?"

"Oh my gods, you're sooo annoying. I'm gonna go see Annabeth. She'll take me." I turned on my heel and walked out the cabin door.

I found Annabeth and Percy sitting at in the mess hall, chatting casually.

"Hi Annabeth! Can you take me to go see a movie?" I asked when I reached them.

She looked over at her boyfriend. "What do you think, Perce?"

"I mean, we've got nothing better to do..." He replied.

Annabeth turned back to me. "Does Nico know you are going?"

"I think so... He was busy when I left.. I'll leave him a note." I decided. "Meet me by Thalia's Tree in.. 7 minutes?"

"'Kay! See you there!" Annabeth and Percy responded.

I scribbled a note and signed it using my signature (emoji/design/something you commonly write). I laid it on his pillow, hoping he'd find it before he want crazy looking for me. He didn't notice me as I left the cabin.

I met the two at the Tree and we walked to the movie theater. It wasn't too long of a walk and only took us 20 minutes.

During the movie, I had to use the restroom. So, I climbed (un)gracefully over Percy and Annabeth and quietly exited the theater. I was about the enter the ladies' room when someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around and saw a man dressed in baggy jeans and a black leather jacket.

"Hey little girl." He slurred. He made a creepy-ish grin and tried to grab my shoulders.

I shrugged him off, wanting to slap his face, but I wasn't tall enough, so I just kneed him where the sun don't shine.

As he doubled over in pain, I commented, "That's so cute. You think you're scary. But mister, I've seen scary— and you ain't got his smile." I turned on my heel and back to the theater.

Time skip to when the movie is done and the trio gets back

"(Y/N)!!! Where the he- where in the world have you been?!?" Nico yelled when I entered the cabin. "I've been looking all over for you! You could have been eaten my monsters, or abducted by aliens, or kidnapped by psychos, or—"

"Nico, did you look at your bed...?" I asked calmly. 

"I-no, why would I?"

I stared at him with an unamused face. "Go look."

He returned a few minutes later. "Oh." He said simply.

"Yeah."

"So, how was the movie?" He decided to change the topic.

"Well, I had to go to the bathroom, so I crept out of the theater and this guy tried to..." I shuddered. "I don't know, but anyway. He grabbed my shoulders, but I kneed him in his no-no spot and told him, 'That's so cute. You think you're scary. But mister, I've seen scary— and you ain't got his smile' then walked away."

"Why'd you tell him that?" Nico asked.

"I was talking about you!"

"Huh?" He raised an eyebrow.

"You're really scary when you smile sometimes. But only in battle. All of your other smiles are cute and dorky."
