Chapter 6

He was standing there casually giving me a smile with his hands in his pocket, clad in a black hoodie with grey sweatpants

"Ya kike? Are you with su Sumayyah?" He asked

"Lafiya Alhamdulillah, Oh, No, I came with my friend" I motioned towards zainab who was shamelessly ogling at him

Ugh

Ok, you know what, I can't blame her

Not after I did the same a few days ago

I nudged her with my elbow

She looked at me looking confused as to why I touched her

She realized why and her face heated up knowing both I and Amir caught her gawking

"Umm..hi" She nervously said

"Hello" he replied

I decided to interrupted to stop the awkward situation

"You are looking for the twins?" I asked him

"No, they told me to come pick them up here and when I saw you I thought you came together, I came in to get something"

"Oh, no we aren't together..Mama told me Aunty is getting discharged today"

He smiled back "Yes she is, the twins are planning a small welcome back lunch"

I was about to speak but I was interrupted by Summayah's voice

"Iman?"

I turned to her with a smile as she moved forward to give me a hug

We exchanged pleasantries and she did the same with Zainab

"Iman you're coming for the lunch right?"

I had no choice but to nod, Mama is forcing me to go anyway

"Alright! You can come early and help us out then" Samira said entering the conversation, as she came up from behind summayah

She gave me a hug before saying hi to Zainab

"Why are you inconveniencing her, what if she has something to do?" Amir asked giving a disapproving look to Samira

Is he trying to send me away?

"Iman are you busy?" Samira said

"No" I said looking directly at Amir

Samira gave him a cheeky smile "you see!"

"Alright iman, we will be expecting you, bye!"

The three of them walked away

I turned to Zainab who waited until they were out of the exit before she spoke

She pointed at the doors they went out through "THAT.....is a fine man"

I burst out laughing

"No..I'm serious,he had me twitching for a second, I was losing focus"

I covered my mouth with my fist to cover the loud laugh that was threatening to escape

"That was me two days ago" i told her as we went out of the mall and towards the parking lot

"Kai Ma Sha Allah, gaskiya akwai kyawawa ah duniyan nan" she said as we opened to doors to the car at the same time (indeed there are beautiful people in this world)

I nodded in agreement

"I never knew they had a brother" she said

"Me too! That was what I was telling ya Nadia, and that says something because I've known them for a while"
