Chapter 8

The Athan from my phone woke me up in the morning, after a lot of struggling I stood up ready to pray only to realize that it was that time of the month

Ugh

So, I just took my bath and I went back to sleep, roughly an hour later I woke up and I started getting ready for school, throwing on a random abaya and picking up my bag

I walked down the stairs to see mama sitting in the dinning room with Ya Ibrahim, they seemed to be laughing about something

"Good morning!" I said to the both of them before I dragged a chair behind before sitting down

"Good morning" they said in chorus

"What's so funny?" I replied referring to what they were laughing about

Ya Nadia came out of the kitchen "mind your business"

"You mind your business! Where did you even come from?"

Mama cleared her throat "we were thinking, instead of having Nadia and Ibrahim's wedding months apart why don't we just have it at the same time kowa ya huta"

I nodded my head in agreement "that's a great idea"

Yes my brother is also getting married, they have done the gaisuwa yet but unlike ya Nadia a date hasn't been set

Ya Nadia's wedding is in approximately 2 months

Will ya Ibrahim's fiancée's family be willing to do it in a rush?

I voiced out the thought "will Kausar be ok with that?"

"Yeah I started talking about it with her, her family is ok with it"

"Aww that's so cute! A double wedding! I can't wait!" I said

"Cmon let's go, I'll drop you off" Ya Ibrahim said as he stood up from the table

I said goodbye to mama and ya Nadia and I followed him out of the house

Roughly about 30 minutes later because of the heavy traffic we arrived at school

I thanked him and I went out of the car before heading to my class

"That's all for the AOC, good luck on your test" the lecturer said before carrying he started packing up his stuff

I closed my book with my pen in it and I dropped it in my bag before carrying my bag with my phone and walking towards safiya who was already walking to me

"Are you going home right now?" She asked me

"Yeah I think so, there's no one around to pick me at home so I'll probably take an Uber, you?"

"I'm going to the cafeteria I'm hungry, i have to wait for my sister to finish till 5"

"Damn! Oya good luck" I said as I gave her a hug and we said goodbye

I released a breathe as I went out and I brought out my phone to order the Uber

A call from an unknown number came in
