Chapter 3-Hangover and consequences

Dani's POV

I woke up from my deep sleep with a killer headache.I sat up and held my head in my hands, groaning. Checking my phone, I see its 11 am... wow i must have slept in. Once my eyes adjusted to the blinding light that burst through the window, I swung my legs over the side of the bed. I noticed Lisa and Lauren had already left the room. I tried to stand but failed and fell back onto the bed. "ugh stupid hangover"I mumbled. I must have got drunk again last night  but it's not my fault it's not like I wanted to drink. At least not that much anyway...

I groaned again loudly just as Lauren walked into the room. She wore an unreadable expression. Some sort of mix of anger, disappointment, curiousness and worry...but mainly anger. She thrust some aspirin into my hands,

"Here, take this"she said with no emotion,"You'll feel better".

 I did what she said without hesitation and downed two tablets with some water. I almost immediately felt better. 

"Thanks..."I mumbled.

"I told mom and dad and the others you weren't feeling well so you were allowed to sleep in" Lauren said.

"Thanks" I said again. I paused and then blurted out,"Why are you doing this?Why are you helping me?"  She sighed heavily and then sat next to me on the bed.

"Because i love you and you're my baby sister and its's my job to look out for you"Lauren said kindly, she then looked away for a moment and said "And because I know there's something more to this you're not telling me."

At this I looked up at my sister and met her eyes. I tried to stay calm because she can't know. "No, I'm fine" I said standing up. But Laur didn't give up she never does.

"No you're not Dani! I can see you falling apart, you don't think I've noticed but I have and I will never stop trying to help!" she yelled, standing to meet my gaze.

"You can't! Don't you get it?" I hissed to her. I turned away, facing the window.

"Wow I have helped you countless time and this is how your'e gonna act!" Lauren said "Just let me help you!" she pulled my wrist and turned me around to face her. I tried to get out of her grip and pushed her harshly. She fell to the ground and hit her elbow on the bed post. It started to bleed, the blood snaking it's way down her forearm. 

I started to ramble, "Laur...I'm sorry...I didn't mean t-

"This is because of HER" Lauren angrily said "Because of Becca if she-

I froze. As soon as i heard that name I froze. "How do you know!" I yelled at Lauren "What did she do!".

Lauren opened her mouth to speak but the door opened and Lisa and Christina marched in. "What the hell is going on in here? Why are you yell-" Lisa stopped halfway through the sentence after seeing the look on my face and the tears that I realised were falling from my eyes. She then looked at Lauren on the floor in a similar state to mine, only with blood on her arm which now resembled the colour of Lisa and Christina's angered faces.
