A/N: Heyy, I forgot to post it yesterday, so here it is. This is the last chapter I'll post before going on vacation for two weeks. I hope you like it <3
Michelle’s point of view
When the plane was high enough to fly horizontal, the team discussed the case and I surprised them. When Garcia spoke to them, I read Spencer’s paper case file and then they all looked surprised as I answered a question.
“Told you she is a female mini-Reid.” Garcia said and they all started laughing, but in a positive way, not a bullying way. At school they only laugh at me in a bullying way. I thought about going to school again without River to protect me. Without River to help me, comfort me, love me. The thought made me cry, so I stood up quickly to go to the kitchen to grab some paper towels. Prentiss followed me.
“I’m sorry for how I reacted before.”
“It’s okay.” I said without facing her.
“Hotch didn’t tell us you were coming, so it was a surprise for all of us.”
“I know.” I turned around.
“Are you okay?” she asked.
“Not really. I just thought about how school would be without River.”
“Well, I think Reid is never going to let you go to school.” She joked.
“That’s true.” I laughed between my tears. She walked closer and gave me a hug.
“Everything is going to be okay.”
“Thank you.” The team really felt like a second family to me: Spencer as father, Garcia as mother or older sister, JJ and Prentiss as aunts, Derek as uncle, and Rossi and Hotch as grandfathers. This thought made me smile as I walked back to the couch. I read a few chapters of Divergent, before Spencer said:
“Michelle, the jet is going to start landing in a few minutes, and it’s going to feel scary, but try to keep calm and breath, okay?”
“Okay.” I answered.
