XLV. Flames of Pain (Part 1)

The God of Fire, Venito, stood before his palace. His realm's commoners have braced theirselves for the worse. Venito and his people have been waiting for the Legion to make their move.

"Everyone, stay in your homes. Our realm will live on. Our fate will not end up like the Realm of Light. The Legion will not prevail." Venito looked out into the distance and saw Alec approaching the palace.

Alec watched as the realm's people ran away fearing the worst. Alec laughed. "I can't wait to see the same faces on the people in the mortal realm."

He finally stood just a few feet away from Venito. "So you're a god. I'm going to enjoy making you and this realm suffer."

"You're not going to destroy this world. A mortal like you cannot defeat a god like me."

"You gods are all the same. Always using the 'I'm a god' excuse." Alec activated his duel disk. "Prepare to burn your immortality away."

"I guess we'll settle this by fighting fire with fire." Venito summoned a duel disk made completely out of fire. "I fight in the name of Olympia!"

"Duel!!"

[DUEL START]

"Mortals first."-Venito

"After this duel, I won't be a mortal anymore."-Alec

•Alec(4000): Draws. Activates Foolish Burial.

"This cards one card in my deck to the grave."-Alec

Sends Flamvell Gardna to his graveyard.

{He must be planning on using that card to protect his Life Points. A smart move if he uses it later on in the duel}-Venito

"Now I'm letting the dog out."-Alec

Summons Flamvell Firedog(Fire/Lv.4/1900 atk).

{1900 attack points. If that's how he's starting, then he must been relying on trap cards to protect himself}-Venito

"I'll end my turn with this."-Alec

Sets 2 cards.

"Show me what you got, God of Fire."-Alec

"My name is Venito."-Venito

•Venito(4000): Draws.

{Now that I know how his field is set, I can put this duel into my favor}-Venito

Summons Brotherhood of the Fire Fist-Dragon(Fire/Lv.4/1800 atk).

"1800 attack points?{He must be up to something}"-Alec

Activates Fire Formation-Tensu.

"This Continuous Spell Card increases all Beast-Warrior-Type monsters' attack points by 100."-Venito

(Dragon:1800 atk/1900 atk)

"Next I'll use Dragon's effect. I can select one Fire Formation card in my deck and set it face down on my field."-Alec

Activates Dragon's effect and sets Fire Formation-Tensen.

{That's some effect. Setting a card directly from your deck. I'm impressed. This duel will be a great warm up for when I duel Yuko}-Alec

"Since my Fire Formation-Tensen is on my field, I can use it to Normal Summon once again."-Venito

Summons Brotherhood of the Fire Fist-Hawk(Fire/Lv.3/200 atk-300 atk).

"While Hawk is face-up on the field, it increases the power of all Fire Fist monster's by 500."-Venito
