"He had beautiful green eyes
The kind you could get lost in
And I guess I did."

1 month later...

"It's finally the first day of school!," you say while jumping around your mother, annoying her a bit in the process, "Aren't you excited!"

"I'm excited you're finally getting out of the house," your mother replies with a laugh.

"Hey!," you reply feigning hurt, "I get out of the house sometimes." Your voice raises an octave as you finish your sentence.

Your mother snorted a bit at that,"Think what you want (Y/N), but going to the farmhouse to pet the animals does not count," she says as she turns her head to look at you.

"...Oh..," You say a bit quietly.

You grabbed an apple to munch on and as you did so, your mind started to wander a bit.

'I really hope the kids at school are nice to me.' You sighed as you started to think about how you would approach everyone and introduce yourself.

'Hello. My name is (Y/N) (L/N). It is a pleasure to meet you. Ugh, no. That sounds too formal. These are kids, not old ladies. Maybe I shouldn't tell them my last name, just so I could seem a bit mysterious.'

Your thoughts were suddenly interrupted as you then noticed your mother was snapping her fingers in your face, trying to get your attention.

"(Y/N), I've been trying to get your attention for 5 minutes. If you don't leave now, you're going to be late!"

"WHAT!," You screamed as you quickly grabbed your books and your basket.

'I can't believe I'm going to be late and on the first day too!,' You mentally kicked yourself as you ran out the front door.

You quickly check the little pocket watch you have in your dress to see how much time you had left. Then you realize what your mother had done to you. She made you leave the house early. 15 minutes early.

You groaned as you were already halfway to school, mentally cursing your mother. You hadn't even realized how far you ran because you were too busy thinking about all the judging looks the kids would give you as you entered the classroom late.

Since you had time to spare, you started to take your time walking around the forest and just enjoy nature. As your mind started to wander off yet again, you hadn't even realized the boy that was walking ahead of you. That is until you bumped into his back.
