Charlie Weasley X Reader

You and Charlie were stuck outside wrapped up in your warmest clothes looking on the edge of the forbidden forest looking for the plant Madame Pomfrey sent you to get.

"Do you see it anywhere Charlie?" You asked while wrapping your jacket tighter around your body, snow had fallen into your shoes and you just wanted to go back inside

"I don't think anyone would be able to anything out here, especially not a small plant" he leaned forwards slightly his lantern reaching into the forbidden forest, the soft glow illuminated the forest, it was darker than the outside world and it had considerably less snow

"What are you thinking Charlie?" Your hand curled around his arm, afraid that he would enter and leave you behind in the dark.

"Well it is considerably less snowy in there and theres probably a better chance at finding what we need there"

"What if we get lost? Or worse eaten by centaurs?" Worry coated your words and you gripped Charlie harder.

"We can stay close to the edge, just enough not to get lost" he suggested and led you both into the forest, his lantern illuminating the space infront. Your grip didn't loosen as you stepped into the empty clearing, if anything it became tighter.

"Y/N can you remove your claws from my arm" he growled while prying your fingers away

"Sorry Charlie this place gives me the creeps"

"Then let's get searching and then we can get out of here faster" he would never admit it but you saw he was fascinated with the place and if it was light out he would stay in there for hours. If you were being completely honest, you assumed he had already been in here before.

You released his arm and leaned down closer to the ground, holding your hat on your head you peered down at the ground searching for any sign of life, Charlie held the lantern above your head and followed you around the clearing.

"AHA" you whisper loudly in triumph and hold up a sickly green plant, you hear and growl and look up only to see bright yellow eyes looking at you

"C-Charlie w-what is that?" You stand up slowly and back up only to run into a frozen Charlie, he wasn't frozen in fear but in fascination, he watched the creature follow your every move without such as a simple movement. Upon hearing your words he snaps back to reality and looks down at your body pressed up against his and the look of fear on your face. With his free hand he took your hand in his and held up the lantern bravely in front of himself .

"The key is to remain completely silent and move very... very slowly"

You shakily shoved the plant into your pocket and backed up with Charlie, step by step the two of you neared the edge of the forest. Two steps away from the edge your boots made a large crunch in the snow and the creatures eyes narrowed.

"Now it's time to run!" Charlie yelled and pulled you behind him, you were out of the forest but glancing over your shoulder you saw something following you and you picked up the pace. Running through the snow wearing thick clothes made everything much harder, by the time the two of you had made it to the front entrance you were slick with sweat and so was Charlie. You yanked open the large door and then quickly shut it after you were inside, you took a moment to regain your thoughts and walked over to the great hall.

"A cup of coco should warm us up" Charlie suggested and you nodded in agreement even if you already were uncomfortably warm. The great hall was empty and you took a seat across from him and almost instantly to steaming cups of hot cocoa appeared in front of you

"This is so good" you moan taking another sip

"I agree wholeheartedly" he nodded and mimicked your actions by also taking a sip

"Should we give Madame Pomfrey her plant?"

"I think we should give it to her tomorrow, I'm tired"

"So am I"

"I'll walk you to the Y/H common room if you want"

"That would be lovely thank you Charlie"

You both stand up and head over, you were walking uncomfortably close together and you were afraid Charlie would hear your heart pounding. Once you reached the entrance he stopped

"This was fun, even if it was quite horrifying at one point" he moved slightly closer to you as he said that before lowering his voice practically into a whisper "I've been meaning to tell you something but I haven't really had the courage to"

You feel a blush rising to your cheeks and wonder what he could possibly have to tell you that makes him so scared

"I know we're great friends and I don't want anything to change that but, I really, really like you and sometimes wish we were more than that" at his final sentence your eyes widen in shock and you stand there frozen in place. Once your shock passes you display your answer boldly but standing on your toes and pressing your lips against his. You both stand there kissing for a while before you pull away and smile

"Goodnight Charlie" you say before turning away leaving him star struck.

Ahh I'm sorry I always do Charlie but I love him so oh well:)
