I have been noticing this for a while that I often hear this from people who begin following me and when I thank them for following they tell me they love my stories. I also had some instances where people told me they read my stories for inspiration or that they read all of them. Now I am grateful for all the love and support but thing is,
I didn't know my stories were being appreciated until I actively went on people's profiles and thanked them first. If I hadn't done that I may have never known that. In my mind I still would have thought that only 2 to 4 people care about my stories.
DON'T DO THAT!
TELL YOUR FAVORITE AUTHORS/ARTISTS THAT YOU LIKE THEIR STUFF. VOTE ON IT cOMMENT ON IT! LET....THEM......KNOW!
Because if you won't the creator is going to think nobody cares about their stuff and they are just releasing things into the abyss. While ideally you're not supposed to care about this but guess what? The world isn't ideal. People need feedbacks and/or appreciation for what they are doing. They need to know what people like what they don't like. Art(and this includes writing) needs to be reacted to. You appreciating things in your mind and never telling the creator is NOT HELPING ANYTHING!
