Still gladion's POV ((cmon, you can't get too much edgelord))

Hau led me around a few streets, and pointed out some things I've never noticed before. He must really hang out here a lot. While Hau was talking about some old jewelry shop and a Pokémon called magearna, I started noticing little things about him. Like how he closes his eyes and makes this adorable little face while he's thinking, or how he rambles on about his favorite things. Wait, why would I care about these stupid things?! Ugh. Whatever.
I finished tuning Hau out, and looked over to him. He was looking up at me expectantly, as if he had just asked me a question.
"So do you wanna see my Pokémon?"
Perfect. I'll be able to tell Guzma about what this little champion has to offer.

"Sure."
Hau fished around through his pockets , which could surprisingly hold 5 pokeballs. He threw all of them into the air, and his Raichu and I watched as the Pokémon went flying out.
Impressive. I see why Guzma was interested in this boy.
"Aren't they cute?!"
Cute?
"Err.. Yes. They're the cutest Pokémon I've ever seen, Hau,"
Hau gaped his mouth and looked up at me, completely starstruck.
"R-really?! Thanks Gladion!"
It was about noon, and Hau happily showed me our next tourist attraction. Captain Illma's House?.
"This is the captain's house! Isn't it cool?! His parents are super rich!"
Rich. That's what I'll be when I steal this kid's Pokémon...
I was rudely interrupted from my dark thoughts by Hau's voice.
"Do you wanna visit Mr. Illma?! It'll be really fun!"
Team skull and the trial captains never got along.. but I guess I'll have to see him, for the sake of not disappointing Hau.
"Sure. I'm not sure he'll like me, though,"
"Why not? Illma's super nice!"
He dragged me toward Illma's house, while I kept a lookout to make sure no team skull grunts saw us. Hau knocked on Illma's door, and Illma opened it.

"Hi there. Who's this, Hau?"
Thank Arceus.. he doesn't recognize me. Although he does seem suspicious.
"This is my new friend Gladion! I'm showing him around Hau'oli!"
Illma didn't seem convinced, but smiled anyway.
"Hi there, Gladion!"
He held out a hand to shake, and after a small hesitation I shook it.
"Want to come in for tea?"
Hau grinned
"Sure!"
Eugh. Tea is the worst.

Hau let go of my hand, then led me inside the Captain's house. It was very tidy, and most of the things inside looked expensive. Hau sat down on a armchair, and Illma went to the kitchen.
"I'll fetch some tea!"
I rolled my eyes and sat across from Hau. He smiled at me again, and I leaned back in the chair on some sort of attempt to ignore him.
"How Do you like Hau'oli?"
"It's.. alright,"
I paused and looked out the window. It was almost sunset, I should probably get home. Without realizing, I dozed off in Illma's chair.

It's so comfy.. I could use a nap, huh..
