Chapter 3: Their Gone

Luck was not on my side, the men brought my mother and father out to the living room, they pushed their bodies down to the floor in front of the couch. My parents looked at me and smiled, mother mouthed it will be ok and that's when the first shot rang out into my father's back, he screamed as blood was splattered everywhere including on me but he was still breathing. Next was my mother, she was shot in the same place as my father and my face was covered in her blood as well. The men quickly ran out of the house and down the street. I slowly crawled out from under the couch and dragged my body to theirs. I did not know what to do so I gently took their hands and quietly called for them "Mom, Dad."
Mom spoke to me "Aurora, stay kind and always have courage." Father then spoke "Always smile it gives others strength and never forget what we taught you about Astronomy and Mythology," he chuckled a little.
With that said they died in my arms, smiling blissfully...
