The government reveals that aliens have visited our planet, and that they are taking over. There's nothing we can do to stop it. All those who fight will die. They say they don't want to hurt us, they just know how to make our planet better.
Five years later, they change their minds. They infect those they capture with some super-advanced alien virus that causes them to attack anything that moves, the only flaw is that they can't hear.
The aliens move on to another planet, as Earth is overrun by monsters.
Write about a young girl trying to keep herself and a newborn baby alive, while trying to make it to a potential safe haven across the country.
