My life was an eternity of night, before I discovered the key to a parallel universe. A realm of possibilities. Now I can live a thousand lives, be anyone I want to be, travel to any place or time I want to see, explore worlds I never knew existed. I hold the "key" in my hands, caressing its soft surface. I inhale deeply. The piquant smell of ink and refined wood pulp promise a sunny haven for me alone. I open the gate and walk into the light. I'm ready to lose myself... Between the pages of a book.
