To see them

I peered through the key hole. This was it. This was where I could find them again. Hopefully. I stood there, waiting for them. Waiting for them to come back so I could save them. So I could bring them back. I waited and waited but they never came. They never appeared like they were supposed to. I waited for hours, until the sun set. By that time I was tired so I leaned against the wall and had a nap. I never woke up, but I got to be with them again so I'm happy. Knowing that they're fine.
