You sat in your blindingly white jail cell, lonely. Of course, there were other inmates nearby, but you always ignored them if they attempted communication. Now, you felt truly alone.
Hīru stopped visiting you in dreams. Police officers only came by to give you meals. No one had even tried to bust you out. After a month in jail, you learned that no villain really cared. Dabi could care less if you lived or died. Toga was entirely bonkers. Shigaraki or Kurogiri only needed you for the useful healing part of your quirk. You were going to die there. It was inevitable.
Suddenly, two policewomen entered your cell. "Hello Ms. Ōtā, there are people here to see you. Do not resist." The young blonde commanded in an assertive tone. You were surprised as to how she knew who you were, but it didn't matter. Someone was here to see you!
The two women pulled you up, and guided you to an empty gray room, where Ms. Kayama and two other adults, one with black hair, another with blonde hair, were sitting. Upon seeing Ms. Kayama and her sad expression, teardrops stained your face.
"They've come to interview you and ask some questions. Please comply. We have tissues on the table, if you need any." The guard with brown hair told you, gently taking the hand of her blonde companion and walking out the door.
"Miss Ōtā," the man with black eyes said your name. You knew who he was. Eraserhead, named by his friend when he couldn't pick a name himself. That friend of Eraserhead was there as well, the blonde one, you were sure. Present Mic? Yes, that guy. He was a bit loud . . . but, fine.
"Yes?" You asked, trying to cover up the tremble in your voice while you spoke. He pointed at the chair on the other side of the table.
"Take a seat."
You nodded and did as he told. It was a bit difficult to move it out of your way, sit in it, and scoot to back into its place again—especially with handcuffs—but you managed to do so. Ms. Kayama helped a bit.
"So. You're Y/N Ōtā, is this true?" The raven-haired man asked. An interrogation? This isn't as awful as I imagined it.
"Yes." You nodded simply.
"It says on this record that you applied and got into U.A. before you mysteriously disappeared at Tokyo Train Station. A pool of blood that matches your DNA proves this. You were last seen by your grandmother. We questioned her, and she said that you were getting groceries, which explains the bags of food near the scene." The man pressed. "It seems that after the search party for you was called off, someone who prefers to stay unnamed recognized you walking with villains. They reported it to the police."
"It seems that you come from a family of heroic origin. We learned from your grandmother that most of your close family, consisting of Hīru Ōtā, Akarui Ōtā, and Supurē Ōtā were all murdered by a band of evildoers, who call themselves the League of Villains, soon after your family moved to Japan. Your grandfather, Junsunia Ōtā, died of a heart attack before you even met him. We concluded that you were captured by the League of Villains after you were attacked by an unknown force." He finished.
You had a lot to take in. The League of Villains, how they lied to you, attacking innocent people, and so much else. You inhaled and began to explain. The black-haired man, the blonde-haired man, and Ms. Kayama all listened carefully. When you finished, they all discussed something in hushed voices. After a long session, the black-haired man spoke:
"Well, you didn't do anything wrong, we can release you from prison. Although this is so, your grandmother, Mrs. Ōtā, refuses custody over you, and as a minor, you will have to be sent to a local orphanage." the man said. You wanted to cry. Your grandmother didn't want a criminal under her roof. Of course she didn't. Now, you would have to live in a home for children where you had to give up all of your dreams.
"Wait," Ms. Kayama said, seeing the hope stolen from your face. "I can take care of her. She can stay with me for the time being."
They all began to speak quietly again, making sure you weren't overhearing anything. The single thing you wanted then was to go home. But you couldn't do that anymore, could you?
"Ms. Kayama has made a suggestion to take you into her home. We have agreed. There is a student in my class at U.A. who is dropping out for a family reason. I have two spots open in 1-A. Lucky for you, you made the list. Congratulations." He said. "You will start your classes on Monday. You are going home tonight."
