Officer from the 21st district - One Chicago

Chapter I

Audrey Donovan is a beginner patrol officer who begins her first shift in one hour, but earlier with her daughter Zuri, she visited the cemetery to visit her father's grave. Recently she was before going to the police academy. I stood before the grave and was engraved on it. "Sergeant Roman Donovan died on duty - son, husband and father". Zuri laid a small bouquet of flowers.

 - Hi dad, today I'm starting my first day on patrol. I brought Zuri to me that I hope to be glad that you have a granddaughter -

 - Mom, is this my grandfather -

 - Yes, Zuri, here's your grandfather - 

I prayed, Zuri did the same, we went out of the cemetery and walked towards the car, I helped my daughter get in the car. We left for kindergarten, I took her to her class. I kissed her on the forehead, as my dad did with me.

 I looked at my watch and I had 20 minutes to start my service. I ran out of kindergarten, got into the car, took off towards district 21, that's where I'll be an officer, where I have an interview, which is conducted by Sergeant Hank Voight and detective Alvin Olinsky and of course Sergeant Trudy Pratt, who is my superior. I parked on the other side of the street, took the bag out of the trunk, and after a while I went to the police station and saw Pratt give other officers assignments and keys for a police car. 

- Finally the princess arrived -  

- I'm sorry sergeant, I had to take my daughter to kindergarten -

 - I was joking, come to me, I have to look at you - 

I approached the counter, Trudy hugged me, but first she saw me, I think I'm too skinny. I have better contact with her than with my mother - Paige Donovan - Turnell. 

Other officers looked at us, they rarely meet Trudy in a nice chat.

 - Go to change, because you will meet your training officer - I said goodbye to Trudy, I took my bag, went to the changing room where there were other cadets I was in with at the academy: Kate Morelli and Aaron Lee are her roommates and friends. I changed into a police uniform, Kate came up to me and immediately began to interrogate me

- Girls, we're going now because our sergeant will give us the worst allocation -said Aaron, who did not want to get the worst allotment on his first day We three walked out of the locker room, went to the counter where three other officers stood and our sergeant.

 - Kate Morelli will patrol with senior patrol officer Peter Wilcox, car number 34 -  

- Aaron Lee will be riding with the younger training officer Brooke McComb car 67 -

 In the end it's my turn, I am curious who will be going with whom and who will be my training officer

I looked at my officer, he was slightly in his forties and he could have been 37 years old, but I can be wrong. Noah was a tall, muscular brunet with blue eyes. He greeted me and offered me his hand

 She gave me a hand, I pressed her. I went to the cupboard where I took out a bucket and cloths. I poured water and liquid I left the room, I went in front of my police car where there were no visible to see our training officers

 - Police cars must be clean before we leave the patrol - 

Kate, Aaron and I started to wash cars as if they were our car, I remember my dad's words as I was little, he always said that you need to look after your police car the same as your weapon, uniform, handcuffs, shoes and even your stick. The policeman must be neatly dressed, show others that it is an honor to serve people and help them. After 10 minutes, our training officers arrived with the stopwatch they held in their hands 

- Officer Day 9:21 minutes it took you to wash the car - told her training officer 

- It was on time - 

- Yes officer Day -

 - Officer Lewinsky, your time was 8:56 before him. He was better than Officer Day -

 - Officer Morelli and Lee your time was 6; 34 min. this is one of the better results - 

- Officer Donovan, your result is 5; 15 we are very impressed - 

Our officers wrote our score to their notes, four training officers approached my officer and gave him $ 20. I think each of them lost the bet in how many minutes we can wash our police car
