Fights

I say not a word

I look for peace where there is hatred

But there is only hatred where there was peace

I speak not a word

I look for love in war

But there is war because of love

I speak not

Sides are drawn

I pick both

I say nothing

This is no fist fight

This is a battle of silence and isolation

I have said nothing

I have found no way around

I see no other option

Yet I speak not a word

I hope against hope

Though the tide is strong, stronger then I

There is not a peep from me

I am thrown away, cast to shore

I can do nothing, no matter my effort

I do not speak a word against either

I am one with a leg in both

I am one who can change things

I say not a peep

I try to help both

Yet I'm hurt most

I sound not a squeak

I struggle, no way out

I'm alone, fighting two

I cannot make the slightest sound

Two have joined, just for me

Not the right cause, in my eyes

I am silence

Once I'm gone, it's back again

What's the point of pointing at blind men?

I'm deathly silent even still

I have failed

Through failure several have learned

I speak not
