Chapter: 14 Brief Moments

Chapter: 14 

Rosemary's POV:

Achilles was in the dining area as he was cleaning my scratch on my cheek. He took a white strip of something and place it over my scratch that I had receive from the arrow. Achilles sat down in the chair as Connor was finishing with the explanation of what had happened earlier. He didn't say anything bad and all I could hear in his voice was a praising for his student. I felt sort of relieve in a way, but what I was really afraid was what Achilles was going to say.

He simply look over at me with a unreadable look and I sat there looking between him and Connor. Achilles finally said "So she couldn't hit a deer, but manage to shoot a poacher in the shoulder"

Connor nodded "That's what I just said."

Achilles made a 'humming' noise again as he look at me "Well...maybe Rose here should use her instincts more. Other than that, she needs some more work on how to hunt"

Connor nodded "We shall do some more hunting tomorrow"

Achilles got up as he nodded "Good."

Connor sat down where Achilles was and asked "Is your cheek okay?"

"It stings, but it's fine" I answer touching my cheek gently with my fingers feeling the rough material that was place over the scratch I received. 

"I should have been there by your side, Rose" Connor murmured still.

"It's okay, Connor" I murmured back as I place my hand on his and was surprise by my action as he look down at my hand on top of his. I gave his hand a gentle squeeze "It's fine. I'm fine. I didn't get injured, all I got was a scratch nothing more. I shot the basterd who did it" I smirk.

The corner of his lips started to twitch as there was a somewhat smile on his lips "I guess you're right...maybe my training did come in handing..."  

I chuckle at his words as the corner of his lips twitch a little more. Why doesn't he smile? Is it because of what he had went through? I don't really understand why, but maybe now since I got to meet him. He could answer some of my questions that I have when I play the game, but I guess I'll just sit back and observe before I do anything or say anything.

I was put into a new bedroom that was actually consider mine and I won't have to use Connor's room anymore. I was sitting down on my bed looking out the window next to the bed. The moon was a crescent moon this time and I forgot how the days have flown by without me even noticing them. A terrible ache fill my chest as I felt my throat and the corners of my eyes starting to sting from the tears that threaten to spill down my cheeks. 

Crying is useless... it won't solve anything...it'll just make the situation much worse than it already is.

The ache in my chest slowly went away as I push my memories away that were my family to keep from remembering them and having a major breakdown right now. I'll be okay. Once I'm done with all of this, Then I'll be able to go home. Hopefully, my grandma is not having a heart attack by me not being there. I don't want to think about that right now. I want to focus on this right now. I have to so I can get home much faster. I know everything and what to do in the Assassin's Creed game. I know what needs to be done and if I can do it before the actual events happen, it will set the game in fast forward.

Something inside of me was telling me that it wouldn't be safe or right to do. I sort of have a feeling though and I remember how time can relapse or do something terrible to the future. It's a game! This is not real! I'm not in the real world! It's fake! I'm wrong once more... because the bite of that wolf sent pain through me. It made me realize that everything here is real as the outside world where I came from.

A sigh escape from me as I look out the window again...this is going to take forever and all I can do is sit back and watch. I'm not that stupid to screw up something huge as time. It's going to have to take time and time will get me back home. I just have to keep telling myself over and over again. I have to remind myself so I can see my family again and not be stuck inside Assassin's Creed III anymore than it is really necessary.

I will do my part here and then I'll return home.
