Chapter 5: Forming the club

After class
I went to Mari's office just like what she told me to do. I don't exactly feel good right now. Is it because of what she's about to tell me, or because of the eyes glaring at me at the corner of the hallway.

"Okay whoever is there come out now"

It was Chika and You-san peeking at the end of the hallway behind me
"How did you know we're hiding?" Chika asked
"Knowing you, I'm sure you want to know why the director want me to attend this school too. In fact, I have no idea as well."
"If that's the case, can we go with you?" You-san asked
"I'm not sure if she'll allow it though"

Suddenly, a door not far from here opened. It was Mari

"Absolutely not! This is a private talk that only you must know about it!" She shouted peeking from her door

"You heard her, sorry about that"
"Its fine don't worry. Lets go Chika-chan" You-san walked away with Chika

"So what do want to talk about Ms. Director?"
"Just call me Mari. I dont feel comfortable being called director" Mari replied
"Okay then, what do need from me?"
"I'll be straight to the point this time. You know those two girls earlier right? If I remember it right, Chika Takami and You Watanabe. I want you to help me guide them to form a successful school idol club" Mari explained
"You mean, I have to help Chika to form her idol club?"
"Yes. I can say its not that simple since none of the students in this school is interested about becoming an idol" Mari bluntly replied
"If that's the case then I might do it as well. I really dont have a choice anyway"
"You really dont have a choice you know?" Mari giggled
"Yeah I know thanks to a special someone. So where do I begin?"
"I assume you know Riko Sakurauchi right?" Mari asked
"Yeah, she's my classmate back in Otonokizaka
"She's a talented pianist and a composer. An idol group will never be complete without a composer so I want you to convince her to join your group in order to make a song"
"But that'll be hard. She don't want to go back to playing piano anymore and she has no interest about becoming an idol"
"That's why I asked you to convince her right?"

I can't just force Riko-chan to become an idol along with Chika and You-san. Not with her situation right now

Yesterday when I talked with Riko-chan

"I went to your piano competition last month. I'm sorry for what happened. It must've been hard for you"
"No its fine, I decided not to play the piano again after what happened to the competition" Riko-chan replied
"Did something bothered you that time?"
"Not really but..." Riko-chan stopped
"Its fine. If you dont feel like talking about it I understand"
"Thanks. Not today but probably someday" Riko-chan replied with a slight smile

"I respect her decision Mari. Can I just look for a different student that can compose instead?"
"*sigh* If you insist, fine. But just in case she changed her mind, convince her as much as you can." Mari replied
"Thanks"
"That's all I have to tell you right now, you may now go"

I went outside of the office and let a deep sigh out. I should do what Mari told me to do for letting me stay in Uranohoshi. But where do I exactly begin? I went back home and tried to think it all up until I fall asleep.

"He's so warm. I want to stay at his side but I can't" a soft voice came while I'm asleep. Must have been my imagination
