Chapter 11: The Goiky River

Velociraptor's POV.

The sun was climbing into the sky as Leafy and I walked past the last of the Evil forest trees. Around 10 am, I'd guess. Still a long way to go until we got to Yoyleland or the Bfb grounds, which was were I'm going. It worried me, as the longer I was gone, the more suspicion would be raised.

Leafy stopped, and as if reading my thoughts said "You know, there's a path that might save us an hour or two, but I've never used it because the threat of grizzly bears."

I stopped walking as well and asked, "Where is this path?"

"Next to the Goiky River, which shouldn't be too far away." Leafy replied.

"Don't you mean the Goiky canal?" I questioned.

"No, the Goiky canal is over 500 miles wide. This river is only around 1,000 feet wide at its max." Leafy explained.

I suddenly remembered some talk I had once heard about a nearby decent sized river. Huh. Didn't know it had name.

"Oh. Well, can you show me?" I asked her.

"Of course." She said and walked into some nearby bushes, me following.

A few minutes later I was greeted by the sound of rushing water as we arrived on the river bank. I was surprised that I had never wandered here, especially after I escaped the ice after 71.5 million years.

I looked around the beautiful sight, taking a moment to look around for grizzly's, not spotting any. I look at Leafy.

"I don't see any grizzly's here. I'd say we could see one far ahead and probably get out of sight before it saw us." I told Leafy.

"Agreed. I want to get back to Yoyleland as soon as possible, and I bet you want to get back to your team." She replied, and then we started walking.

(Several hours later, around 4:00 pm)

"I mean, it was sad seeing David get eliminated, but I don't think he would have done much for our team anyway." I said to Leafy, talking about my team recently being up for elimination.

"Hey, I think we're here." She said, walking off the river bank and into some nearby ferns while I followed.

We ended up a small cliff, although you could hardly call it that. I was about 30 feet high and made out of rock. Below us was a small area of flat rock followed by easy paths, the plants probably flattened by other animals beside myself, as I haven't been here before, which led to both the Bfb grounds and Yoyleland.

I'll have to remember this spot, I thought.

"Well. I guess we'll part ways here, you heading back to your team and all, while I'm heading back to Yoyleland." Leafy said, heading down the hill that connected to the mini cliff.

"Yeah. See you later!" I called, heading down the hill as well, but unlike Leafy, I took the path to the Bfb grounds.

I emerged from the bushes, relieved when I didn't see anyone close by. Now to hope when I find my team they don't question me to much about where I've been.

I was walking past the lavatories when I heard a Bulleh before I felt myself get vomited on. I looked to my left side. Rocky, but wait, he wasn't there 5 seconds ago. Eh, it's object show logic.

"Hey Rocky!" I greet him happily, despite my disgust from being vomited on.

Rocky seems quite happy to see me, even though he can't talk. I hear a voice call "Hey Velociraptor! Thank goodness Rocky found you. Where have you been?" I look away from Rocky to see Balloony.

"Oh, I was just looking around by the river. Can't believe I've never been down there before." I answered a bit quickly, walking past him to look for the rest of our team.

???'s POV.

So she eventually did turn up. But I find it unlikely anyone would spend that much time at the river without telling someone. I'll have to keep a close eye on her.
