"So.." Lee said, holding her notebook close to her, sketching, "Once upon a time, there was a shark." She flipped her notebook around, showing Logan her shark drawing. Logan smiled, he loved her stories. The bed slightly creaked. "The shark was nice, he was friends with all the other fish," she explained, "But-" RIING. Her flopped ears pricked at the doorbell ringing. "Stay here, Logan." Lee said as she rushed down the stairs. She opened the front door, nearly falling back.
"Hi! Sorry to startle you." The tall Doberman said. "I'm Bryson, and this is Jason!" He motioned to the short dog beside him, "We're your new neighbors!" Jason stared at Lee, exhaling loudly. Bryson elbowed his brother. "I'm Lee..." she said. "Nice to meet you, Lee." Bryson said holding out his paw for her to shake it. She began to reach for his paw when she was interrupted. "Isn't Lee a boy's name?" Jason retorted, wrinkling his snout. "Well-" "I'm sure it's short for something! Uh- it is, right?" Bryson uttered. "Short for Ashley." Lee said. She hated the name Ashley. It sounded too girly. "Mhm..." Jason mumbled.
She walked back up to her room once Bryson and Jason left. "But what?" Logan asked. At least he didn't ask who it was... "But the shark couldn't be friends with all the fish. Because some fish aren't any fun." Lee finished, quickly making her drawing to show her brother, "Now it's time for you to go to bed. Or else the fish will get you!" Logan ran off to his room. Lee laughed, then lie down. She shut her eyes as she drifted off to sleep. With Bryson and Jason, Bryson's the shark and Jason's the fish that aren't any fun.
