Chapter 5 : The party

This isn't gonna go well.

After class

Class is over for now and it's recesses and I have no idea what to expect because it was so awkward earlier. Mike and Ryder wasn't happy about Lucas for some weird reason that I have no idea of.

I just hope that recess will be fine. So far, I've made a new friend Phillips and he had invited me to sit with him at recess with his friends, hopefully nothing would go wrong.

"Hey Audrey, over here!" I see Phillips waving from a table bit so far from me. I smiled in response an walked over to him as he greeted me to his friends.

"Guys, meet Audrey. The new girl, she sits beside me," he introduced as they waved at me and I waved back.

He gestured me to sit down and we began eating while talking. They seem to be so interested in what I do everyday which was odd but I don't care.

I was having so much fun with them until there was a tap on my shoulder. I turn to see Ryder standing while folding his arms.

"Where were you? I was looking for you everywhere!"

"Sorry, I didn't know," I apologized but he wasn't looking at me, instead he was looking at Phillips.

"Who is this dude?" He glared at Phillips while Phillips invisibly gulped.

"Oh, he's my new friend that I met in class. He also sits next to me. His name is Phillips," I said as I looked into Phillips's eyes who looked absolutely terrified already.

"Yea...yeah!" He stuttered.

"Okay" Ryder looks at him suspiciously. "If anything happens, tell me," he said as he slowly turn to face me with a deadly serious look.

"Okay," I said trying to avoid his eyes.

He walked off as I apologized to Phillips for Ryder's misbehaviour. We continued to chat as the bell rang and we walked back to our classrooms and started having our free period again.

After school

I stood in front of the door and sighed before I gave a knock and enter. I walked inside to see Ryder folding his arms facing me.

Seems like he was waiting for me.

"Let me guess, we're gonna have a little chat?" I raised my eyebrows as I shut the door.

"Not only that, I need someone to accompany to an event tonight and that person will be you," he said pointing at me up and down.

"Seriously? On the second day of school?!" I whined.

"This is normal. My friends always have a party before the third day of school which we will start studying and they all expect me to bring someone to the party this year so I have no choice," he said as he grabbed his suit out of his closet and set it on his bed.

"A party?! Seriously?! We're gonna come back by midnight by then!" I whined with both hands in the air.

"Even though you don't want to you have no choice," he said as he walk close to me.

"Fine," I said in a harsh tone and pushed him away.

"That's my girl," he smirked.

"First of all, don't call me that. And second of all what time is this party?" I said while sitting down on the bed, looking up to face Ryder.

"It'll start at 8," he said as he read it out from his phone.

"What time we leaving?" I took out my phone and waited for him to reply so that I can set it on my reminder.
