One step after another. Hinata following the blue light. In his vision, the only thing he could see was the light, everything else was blurred in the corners of his eyes. Thoughts didn't really appear in his head at that time he just kept on walking, until he stopped regaining his consciousness.
Where am I?
The small boy had found himself in one of the corridors outside of where the games should've been held. Voices and shouts came from the door behind him. That's gotta be the first game. Hinata realized that they were suposed to watch the games right now. The others must be sitting out there watching without me! He thought. He got a little mad cause he thought that they forgot him or didn't notice he was gone, or even worse maybe they didn't care!? As Hinata was about to open the door he heard voices from the other end of the corridor.
Kageyama?

He gave the guy that approached them one of his worst death glares he could make. The guy that had called him was tall, pretty and annoying as hell. His former teammate and rival, Oikawa Toru.
"Eek!" The guy hid behind another guy who was a little shorter and had spiky hair, Iwazumi Hajime.
"What do you want Oikawa?" Kageyama growled.
"Nothing, just wanted to wish you luck. With the king on the court, everyone is gonna need it." The guy gave him a smirk, a smirk that really triggered Kageyama.
"Have you made any new friends? I doubt that considering you being a jerk to your whole team. You don't deserve to be on the court, bwahahaaa!"
"Shut up! I've changed you know, I do not prefer you calling me king of the court anymore!"
"Oh yeah? Well, we'll see about that then." The guy walked up to him.
"On the court, We meet as rivals, Tobio." He was now so close to Kageyama's face, he could see his confidence in his eyes making the best of him. Oikawa has always been this way. Both of them are amazing setters. In middle school he got jealous of Kageyama because he had natural talent that made him a regular. Because of that he started to hate him despise that Kageyama did nothing wrong. Well until Kageyama's ego started kicking in. Sure, he did deserve being called king in middle school but he tried to change his ways before attending highschool. After that incident, he didn't want to be the king of the court anymore. That made him realize that no one is ever gonna like him.
No one is ever gonna care for him him.
No one is ever gonna want him.
That's just the way it is.
No one would want a king.

Hinata stood there against the wall. What in the world are they talking about? Kageyama is amazing, what is it that I'm missing!? Rage filled the little boy as he stood there listening to their conversation. Not getting all the details about something he really cares about made him full of irritation. After a while he couldn't hear them talking anymore. What if Kageyama left!? Hinata had to find out what happened to him in middle school. Out of panic he ran torwards the area they were talking, grabbed the guy by the wrist and pulled him around a corner. Away from everyone else who still stood there.
The small boy pushed him against the wall, slammed both hands right next to Kageyama's arms (too short to do it next to his head), and gave him a cold stare. Kageyama flinched out of the sudden approach. They stood there just starring at eachother until Kageyama got tired of the approach without follow-up.
"We have a game to play dumbass, stop acting weird and let's go-" He got slammed against the wall again.
"....Kageyama-kun... what does king of the court mean?" Hinata showed Kageyama a new side of him that day. A Hinata that could be as serious as him.
Did he hear us? What the hell Hinata. He clenched his fist against his sides. He was not suposed to hear that. Not him out of all people. Hinata is the last person on earth Kageyama would want to tell about his past. That would just make him dislike him, and he didn't want that. Not in a million years.
"Nothing..."
"Stop ignoring me dammit! Kageyama, what does it mean!? Tell me!!" He spoked louder.
"You don't need to know that! Now come on!-" Hinata grabbed him by his waist, and hugged him. Whispering into his back.
"What does it mean...? I need to know..." Neither of then could tell if Hinata was crying or not. But one thing was certain, Kageyama didn't like it at all.
"...It means I'm a dictator against my teammates okay? It means... that I don't care about the people I'm playing with... A king who pushes away his own teammates... A king of the court..." He breathed while tears were falling down his face. I ruined it, I ruined my friendship with the only person I care about.
"Kageyama... you haven't pushed me away yet..." The tall boy turned around revealing his tears.
What?
