you belong

it pains me
when you tell me
you don't want to be here

it pains me
when you question
your place in this universe.

it pains me
when you think
about taking your own life.

it pains me
when you don't
know how precious you are.

it pains me
because no one
should feel as if they
don't belong here.

But in an
     unbounded  u n i v e r s e
with a billion of
     of  s h i n i n g  stars
and billions of
     undiscovered  p l a n e t s

it's easy to feel as if
you don't matter at all
as if you're just a tiny speck
in this big universe

It's easy to feel insignificant,
in a world like this.

But you matter, the universe
wouldn't put you here
if it didn't need you.
