After pulling away, you and Peter decided not to go further. You didn't want to rush into anything, and you felt as if you weren't ready for another level of intimacy. You then shared a heartfelt hug and decided to spend the rest of your time together just being in each other's embraces. You didn't have to talk; the company of one another was more than enough for you.
Just then, the closet door opened to reveal Tony Stark and Rocket Raccoon. "Ah man, I thought there'd be some action going on," grumbled Tony. You rolled your eyes at the billionaire, helping Peter off the floor. Rocket smirked, causing you to blush. You two made your way back to the circle of heroes and sat down together, your hand in his. Quill kissed your hand, and you could see Gamora smiling out of the corner of your eye. There were no hard feelings, and no one lost a friend, a limb...or their life.
You discovered something truly amazing about yourself and the man sitting next to you: you had fallen in love with Peter Quill, and he was in love with you, too.
