'thinking bout the time that slipping'

Play it cool.

Keep it together.

Be innocent.

No one else knows what I know. Besides Ravyn, and my friends.

But other than that none of them would snitch about the murder. I just had to hope that his body doesn't pop up out of the blue. And if it did that no one would be able to identify it. And if they did then -

Do I even have an alibi?

"Babe? You good?" Sweet Pea's voice called me out of my mind and back into reality. Right we were at his locker talking about something.

I nodded my head. "Just thinking about the situation. Sorry."

"Don't apologize. I hate that she did this to you." He closed his locker shut and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Or for you. Not sure. But still it's uncool."

I snicker a little and smiled at him. "I know but uncool things just keep on happening to me. Can't help it. Maybe I'm uncool. It's like a magnet thing. I attract uncool things." I gripped onto my bag just a little bit more at the joke.

I definitely attract murder. That was a no brainer.

"It's actually the opposite. If you were uncool you'd attract cool things. So actually you're cool and you just attract uncool things." He explained with a little glimmer in his eyes. This boy just doesn't know a self deprecating joke when he hears one?

I shook my head lightly and bit back a smile. "So that means since I attracted you that you're uncool."

Sweet Pea began to say something but he couldn't find the words. He knew I was right.

"I'm still cooler than you though."

-

"Are you guys here to visit me?" I asked the Jones men as they took up a booth to themselves. They both laughed at that and too off their jackets. "Or is this a Cooper and Jones double date thing?"

FP picked up a menu and scrolled through it like he hasn't been her since he was a child. "Would you believe it if we just wanted some good burgers?"

"Sure." I nodded with a face painted with a look that said yea right.

They were totally here to check up on me. I scribbled down two cheeseburgers and two vanilla shakes on my notepad as I disappeared behind the counter. As I placed the paper up for the kitchen to prepare the door dinged.

"That's your section D." Pop called out and I slapped on a smile. Of course everyone that walks in just sits in my section. Amazing.

I turn around to face the booths and sure enough more people that care about me. It was Sweet Pea and Fangs. They sat in the booth after the Jones. They all have a knack for sitting in my section and I can't think that it's for lack of trying.

Did they memorize which booths were mine?

Slowly I walked over to the boys with my hands on my hips. "Okay so is this like a intervention? It can't be a coincidence that everyone I care about knows which booths are mine." I explained and Sweet Pea went wide with a smile.
