"Child please hurry up you are extremely slow!" Selene commands as the young woman scurries about her, as skittish as as a child who thinks there's a monster under their bed while sleeping.

Selene watches her and takes in her features. She was a petite girl with a pink lips and a small button nose, and big brown eyes to compliment. Long straight brown hair frames her face as she wails around, her tan skin was glowing from the golden light rays coming through the window from the early morning. Seeing Sage made the woman happier, for Sage was innocent and that was something Selene admires in young women. As Sage worked Selene couldn't help but watch her intently.

"Sage, your hair is quite lovely." She compliments, the compliment genuine, thought the light blush that made its way onto Sages cheeks do not go missed but Selene.

"Thank you, Selene," Sage smiles to the woman, her nose scrunching up slightly as she smiles. This small minuscule mannerism Selene see made her glad she uttered those words. It brought warmth to her heart.

The two women don't speak for a few moment, Selene thinking about what it would be like to fall in love with someone like Sage...or maybe even Loki. That thought alone made Selene slightly laugh, thinking it impossible.

Selene turns to Sage in curiosity, "Sage, do you think i'm not caring?" Selene's eyebrows raise in question.

Sage stands there for a second in thought, "I think you are." The maid reply's, "You just...have an odd way of showing it to the people you may care for."

Selene stares at the maid thinking about the words she has spoken. "Sage, please explain to me what you mean." Selene folds her arms on her lap, her fingers tapping the silky fabric.

"It's just the way you show care or affections to the ones you care for, isn't really a conventional way of doing so," Sage says now running a brush through Selene's hair, lightly admiring the Princesses long black hair. "You're sarcastic and witty to everyone, but those you show affections for you're slightly more witty. It difficult to explain though, but you seem to put a little extra effort into you remarks."

Selene only stares at Sage in thought through the mirror. "Im starting to understand i think."

Sage smiles at Selene through the mirror before continuing.

"Take your Brother Lycon for example. It is obvious you love him undoubtedly, but you sometimes drive him a little crazy with you witty banter. But at the same time, he doesn't seem to mind because he loves you just the same. But your comments are designed to jab at peoples soft spots, so you continue to poke and prod him until inevitably his lid pops off." Sage chuckles, her eyes darting from Selene to the clock on the wall. "We do not have much time until you are meant to be in the feast hall."

Selene nods and gets up from her chair, and turns to Sage lightly grabbing her chin forcing her to look in Selene's eyes. "I believe you are mistaken dear." Selene whispers

"Pardon?" Sage speaks quietly in confusion, her breath hitching in her throat to the the proximity of their faces.

"I have no redeeming qualities in me so i'd stop looking, i don't care as much as you think i do with your little observations you've made" Selene speaks slightly venomously. But Sage could see the slight sadness in Selene's eyes, like she was trying to convince herself of her statement.

Sage is quiet for a moment just starring into Slenes eyes, the demons in her head arguing with her before speaking, "I think we both know you are just trying to convince yourself of that." Sage whispers daringly.

Selene only stands there, a small look of shock passing over her face only for a second, if you weren't really paying attention. You would just miss it.

Selene lets go of Sage's face only to not be able to look into her eyes anymore. She could tell Sage saw her small moment of weakness. "I have a meal to attend to. Have my bed clean and ready by the time i get beck, if i find you've been slacking i will not hesitate to wring your pretty little neck." She says trying to keep her wall up.

"Yes, Princess Selene." Sage turns to away from Selene with tears brimming her eyes.

Selene looks at the girls back with a feeling of guilt quickly passing her face. Instead of saying anything else, she turns around and leaves.
