BORSON : the drowning

Her Alpha wants an army

His pack serves no other

Not even to pay a Luna price

He walks away from Her Alpha

The wily coyote breathing greed

His Alpha Father warned Him it would be so

His brother burdened with the bounty of their land

Gold more than most males could carry is throw down

With a flash of fang and quiet promise of violence

The warriors of the Far North leave with their Alpha's mate

He promises to love and cherish Her more than Her father does

While wondering how He could love Her more than His Light

By sand and by sea, She tries to escape Him and flee

A brother's green eyes remind Him of his guilt

In the reflected light of the moon

As His mate swims away

He brings Her back aboard

But She jumps again

And again

And again

Trying to swim home

Across the sea.

Her Green is the color that captures His soul

Unable to turn and walk away, to go back to her blues

His WILD will not stop moving forward toward what is HIS

Fighting for His Light, the WILD ignores Him

Resisting for His heart, for His dreams with her,

but the WILD answers,

"Not ours..."

Vocally declaring,"MINE!"

Her scent drowns Him with every inhale

Like a ship sinking under the sea in a storm

Like the cold northern wind that seeps into His bones

Hands shaking, heart aching, breath suffocating

The green and salt of His eyes drowns in the dark ocean

One Bead

One Dream

One Tear

At a time discarded

UNCEREMONIOUSLY

Sinking from sight

The memory of His Light dimming

But not forgotten in the face of HER

A sob and a kiss bids farewell to His heart

The blue of her eyes drowned out by Her Green
